When I think with a few different turns I might have had a life like yours. I did live in Alaska for 6 years. (Anchorage) back in the 70’s. Now I am 73 with a few health problems so I live the dream vicariously through you. The sound of the wind in the pines and the blue blue sky brings tears to my eyes, I love that so much. I want to encourage everyone to follow, no, chase your dreams while you can. Don’t waste time. Old comes so much faster then you can ever imagine. God Bless You. And thank you for sharing your beautiful life.

Yeah at 17 I wanted to take off to Alaska I got together as much stuff I thought I would need like oil lamps, a antique dresser with the wash basin built in and matching pitcher, cast iron cookware , coffee maker that could go on a fire pit. Just so much stuff that I had a 10x10 storage unit I was going as prepared as I could get, then I met my ex…I should have ran like hell to Alaska lol

I watch you both and the love you show for each other and I am reminded of my husband Eddi and myself. Eddi died on 15th Feb 22 at the age of 69. He was 4mths short of his 70th birthday and I shall miss him till the day I die. I have not finished crying yet but when I watch you two it makes me smile because it brings back some wonderful memories of the two of us together and our camping adventures. God bless you both, I know you will be together and love one another as Eddi and I did. Remember to kiss and hug like teenagers every day because when one departs the other holds on to these precious moments for comfort. I look forward to all your new adventures. Take care and stay safe and healthy. Xx

I love you two! At 77, most of my traveling days are behind me after putting in well over 2 million miles traveling and singing and playing for people. But thru you two, I get to still see those wonderful sights and hear those wonderful sounds. The best music there is, is nature. I still have my studio, still record music, still make vids and still share it on youtube, but the wonderlust days are behind me. Not a bad thing because I retired to the Appalachians of NC and love it here. But we don't get quite that much snow here anymore. 2 or 3 times a year maybe. Used to be a lot more, but the climate is changing whether people want to admit it or not. Again tho, thank you both for the vids you make and share with us. I have a 10 foot projection TV and it's almost like being there. That's my traveling these days, and it "ain't" half bad. Be well and safe!

You are so inspiring. I’m 53 and I’ve spent the last 11 years caring for my adult son who developed a debilitating pain disease at age 18. I lost myself in that time because I put him first always. He encouraged me to get myself back which I did by getting in the best shape of my life, making new friends and starting hiking again and other activities I enjoy. This last year though has been the worst of his pain disease and I stopped my life to take care of him through absolute hell on earth. He is getting the proper care now and I have been aching to get myself back again. Well YOU have inspired me to get going again. You are such a badass! We only get one life and it’s time to start living it for all it’s worth again. Blessings! ❤️

That sky is my favorite shade of blue 💙 I love how bright it is there, reminds me so much of my grandfathers camp I spent so much of my childhood at in the Sierra's of California. We camped at his camp for years. He had found a spring there back in 1948 and built the camp the next year near by it at the edge of a meadow. As soon as we could get in in the early spring, which was done by 4x4 in our old Willy's Jeeps, often having to cut fallen trees out of the trail or digging out snow drifts to ge6back in there. It was off of a old logging road, but you had to depart from it onto our trail to get back into the camp. It had log poles set in that we lut canvas tarps around to make the main room, kitchen and were grandma and grandpa had their room and a old army tent to sleep in. Grandpa had made a big rock and concrete stove with a sheet iron top and door, as well as a smokestack. I loved helping grandma cook on it. My family had our area were were had a large army tent. In early spring it still often froze at night and later in the year during deer hunting season. Mom would heat a couple big rocks on the stove, when they were nice and warm My dad would take them off the stove, put them in a pillowcase and put them inside the bottom of mine and my sister's sleeping bags so we would have a warm bed to crawl into. I always went to the spring with Grandma every day to carry bucks of water back to the camp. Grandpa had dug out the spring the year he found it and lined the edges with logs, two logs high, it was like a small pond, we always had good clean water and it tasted so good. It had a area for a little run off that made a very small stream down the hill and a bit of a tiny marshy area would form ther, we often found salamanders near there. The river that was about a mile and a half away what is great trout fishing. Nothing tastes better than fresh brookies cooking a big cast iron skillet over the campfire stove along with some fried potatoes and onions. I truly love the mountains and I spent so much of my life camping, fishing, hunting, backpacking, snow in water skiing and canoeing many of the lakes and rivers but it just feels more like home to me then anywhere... Luckily Yosemite National Park is just about a 2-hour Drive at the most from where I live, it's one of my favorite places to visit also. But in the other direction it's only about a 2-hour drive to the ocean, so at least once a year you got to take a little trip to the beach. Luckily here in California are coastal mountain range is covered with redwood trees enforced sometimes clear down to the beach areas, So you get the best of both worlds, forested mountains in the ocean. I love watching your videos cuz it reminds me so much how I grew up camping in spending so much time in the mountains, I truly love the mountains, And really watching your videos❣️🌲🏞️🌻

These videos are so soothing. I started remembering my Athena. We lost her a month ago to cirrhosis. It was devastating to lose her. She loved us, she loved life. She was my little girl. Get regular blood tests on your dogs. Once dogs start showing symptoms it is TOO LATE. Within two months of showing signs she died. She tried to fight it and that is heartbreaking to think about. She always had my back literally. We had her 6 1/2 years of her 7 years 11 months life. And we are so sad we won't be able to make more amazing memories with her and show her more of the US. She is not suffering. That is the only thing that I am happy with.

Dave always keeps me laughing in your videos. I love his sense of humor. You have a beautiful place. Since they sold my Grandmother's land in the Ozarks, it has left me with a sense of loss that still haunts me. I will never forget the fun we had running in the woods, playing aat the ponds. I felt a connection to the earth when I was there. I learned so much. My grandmother had a 2 acre garden, we picked wild blackberries as big as your thumb. Gooseberries, too. We harvested black walnuts by the pick up bed full. Deer and turkey were in the woods. I never felt restless until they sold her land. It's as if part of me was part of it. I wanted the family to buy another property closer to us, but they were greedy and wanted the money. Keep your land and it will keep you.

I loved this video. I grew up in the woods and hiking all day even as a kid. I don’t have the energy for all that now but I still live in the woods and love it and I love seeing your footage Brooke.

At 75 my wife and I loved to travel. 2 large 12 v coolers, and stopping and enjoying life. Now my wife had a stroke in 2069, I have my own handicaps and taking loving care of her 24/7. I keep a small garden again. Michigan is this best place to live, wanted to visit Alaska again, rolled through there in1966 to travel by US Army stop. It was very nice compared to the 18 months I toured Korea. It is nice to have you both visiting us on KZbin everyday. Keep on loving what you and each other. We are with you, God Bless.

So very nice to see you both out there enjoying the cabins together Glad you get some of the snow off the little cabin so that the wood won’t be warped in the spring

Love this guys.. my wife Jerri and myself Tom --Tom & Jerri-- will be perfect for this. She's a Marine COLS daughter, I'm a retired Army SGT with many years of survival training. My Dad was an Army SGT Scout, Survival and Tracker trainer when I was a kid. He taught me well. We will be doing this soon. HooAH ?

I really appreciate you taking us with you on your adventures. You are an amazing camp cook! I grew up in the outdoors, but the pace of life and raising a family has kept me from what I love. Thank you for reminding me of who I really am. You two are very sweet and productive together. Much love!

It was great to get outside! I think you have such a wonderful eye for natural scenes. So calming. The other thing I noticed today is that your face shows pure joy and awe when you are out there. You guide us through it, you share it with us. Your eye is why I like you lingering on scenes, we get to find that beauty you are experiencing. Oh yea, thanks for the first bite! It was comical ❤️🥰

It's so very beautiful out there. You did a fantastic job on the cabins that you both built. They're nice and sturdy, and dry inside with no critters to worry about. Take care and God bless y'all. 🙏

Wow that’s a lot of snow and truly the definition of being snowed in. You all are my kinda people I love snow! I’d much rather be in a cabin in the woods in deep snow than on a hot crowded beach. I’m in southern Indiana and if there predicting an inch or two of snow the grocery stores are empty! 😂 I alive your lifestyle, God, family and dogs! I’ve been watching y’all on Alone and always pulling for you all to win. I know that’s been a couple years ago but I refuse to pay for cable tv so I just get to watch reruns. I’d love to live up north where it snows more as I hate hot weather. God bless you all and thanks for sharing your journey!

I just love it when you two are on the same video together!! Miss seeing Da Woof and Da Moose this time but I know they'll be out and about with ya'll soon. I agree, nature is beautiful. We could all use more of it in our lives and especially right now during these stressful times we're facing. Nature has a way of calming the soul and putting things in perspective. There'd be less folks on antidepressants if more people could spend some time out in nature. Anyway, glad to see you both enjoying your cabins and sharing this with us.

Used to snow mobile in the U.P. Lake Linden Houghton, Hancock, area and loved the snow, and coldness of the fresh air. Being the only one snow shoeing in the woods, seeing the beavers in the cold waters, . The snow feels and sounds perfect. I love so much about it.
