I cannot tell you how touched I was when you said Grace before eating. So many people just stuff their faces and don’t even care about the fact that God has provided the meal. My Grandmother taught me to say Grace before every meal and I am 53 years old and still cannot put a mouthful of food in my mouth without first thanking God for it. @@marcusmecale I do believe we eat too much meat. Short of being vegetarians or vegans, if Americans especially cut down meat consumption from daily to once a week would be a great thing. If we think about the animals, it makes it really hard to eat meat. I have seen movies of cattle taken to the slaughterhouse & pigs many knowing they were going to slaughter. It's terrible, heartbreaking. All animals are Sacred. Myself I can't stand the thought of eating those wonderful pigs & never eat pork or bacon. but cattle & all other animals are just as Sacred.

Why are you surprised? Many, many, people simply aren't religious or "spiritual"... such as me. I was raised Christian and became an agnostic/near atheist in my adult years. It's so strange to me that so many religious people don't seem to understand that not everyone believes what they believe. Am I surprised that people don't give thanks to Zeus or Shiva before they eat? Of course not, because that would be absurd. Just as absurd as some expecting people to give thanks to the God of the Bible. In other words, whatever you choose to believe is not and should not be the standard of what you expect for people around you.

I wanted to thank you both too. I was a Boy Scout as a kid but haven't been camping since as an adult. Worse, I have little ability to build such worthwhile structures as both of you can do. I'm so glad you get so much joy and fulfillment from your various outdoor adventures. I'm a composer and wish I had a cozy cabin in the woods as a retreat to write some music. Writing a longer piece of music is something like building a cabin…it can takemonths, starts with your imagination and plans, gets adapted and changed somewhat as it unfolds and surprises happen, and in the end you're exhausted but happy and proud of your finished project.. @@therealgirlinthewoods I've been binging on your videos, that cabin you built yourself, I don't know if you thought of this or someone else suggested but would it be possible for you to pull that window opening over the roof and tie on the other side of the cabin? You'll have higher lift that way since the roof it higher. Then remove the frame that you built in front and make smaller frame for the swing but by the corner of your deck between cabin and fire pit, it could surge two ways, as a seat by the fire and will be easier to hang/get into from the deck corner (and push too). And it opens the view back up.

Love Frank's sauerkraut!!! I am not Amish but do.have German grandMom on Dad's side. I usually eat the regular fried in a skillet flavored with a little bacon grease with smoked sausage or kielbasa slices, diced or sliced fresh potatoes. "canned diced potatoes are good too, drained of course. Yum!! those sandwiches. I always give thanks too.

Ya know as silly as that first bite seems sometimes its really very helpful...I am currently on week 3 of a hospital stay and am not allowed to eat anything but ice chips....I am facing a grueling surgery in a couple days and just that small little gesture puts a smile on my face and makes me feel like I'm eating something...you don't know how much you really are helping people so thank you 💛

I'm convinced that a new puppy can breath life into an older dog. One of our dogs here in Ohio turned 16 in November (Australian Shepherd). I've watched the same interaction with ours and find the activity in play and companionship works wonders. Nice video

I suggest not burning dry branches and sawn trees.. you can make a fence from these dry branches.. Your area near your house will look more comfortable..
