Took a day off from work to go spend a day in Seward, Alaska. So much to explore and so much beauty to take in on this Alaskan Adventure!
Alaska always provides so much opportunity for exploring and adventure! My cousin Zach and I set out to do some exploring over in Seward for this vlog! Found an abandoned coal terminal, visited the abandoned Jessie Lee house and then ended the day with climbing on Exit Glacier! It was truly an amazing day!
Here's what equipment i use.

You were exploring my childhood playground. I grew up in Seward from 1954 to 1968. It is an awesome little town.

I'm originally from San Diego, and I am currently in Ohio at university studying for a bachelors in History. I currently work at the Cincinnati Zoo, but i really want to work at an aquarium one day. I've read so much about the Alaska SeaLife Center there (its part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums) and I want to try and get a job there :) Seward is also absolutely beautiful, and I love being in an environment so close to and surrounded by nature. I definitely want to take a trip there, but one day I hope to move there :)

I live in Seward. That is not a old coal terminal . It’s a old saw mill and boat yard and it’s all privately owned and posted very clear to not trespass. The “big coal boat” is actually a barge used to haul material.

haha, I grew up in Seward. I used to climb the working coal terminal next to the boat harbor at night when no one was around. I can attest to the Jesse Lee Home being haunted af...too bad you didn't get to go in!

Thanks for filming it! I left in 2001, and get a little homesick every now and then. You should do some drone footage from Mount Marathon! Back in the day there were no fences or cameras, just an old caretaker named Jack. Had fresh batteries die on two different flashlights in the basement, then a couple of years later a bunch of us saw an apparition. Really cool place to explore, but the floors were sketchy back then, I can only imagine they'd be much worse now!

Josiah, did you ever think during the time you were on the coal transit that the tower might fall, or metal would break? And I was wondering what kind of tripod do you use for your creek shots?

It’s um, not recommended! The way most people go to get there is trespassing but there is a way without.
