I think that people don’t understand that humans are also creatures in this world. Hunting has been natural in the entire history of humanity, it’s still natural. We’re part of nature as much as animals. They hunt to survive, so do we. If you don’t feel comfortable, fine, you can think that’s not just. But if you expect nature to be just, well, I have bad news for you... it has never been, it is not and it’ll never be just. This is what it is, reality. Get used to it.

No I don’t, but what if I want to? It’s still the role of a man in the food chain. Again we are also part of nature, and like it or not, we dominate it.
@darkwolf2622
@darkwolf2622 5 жыл бұрын
I mean, if you want to preach about the “role of man in the food chain”, then at least know what you’re talking about. Humans are not apex predators. They’re not even predators. If it weren’t for all the weapons that cowards hide behind, we’d be nothing more than food. But go ahead, go take on a lion or a tiger without a weapon. Show me who’s the top of the food chain. Lmao. Hunting for food is fine, whatever, that’s true survival. Those are real hunters. I’m not against it in any way. As for trophy hunting, you’re nothing more than a baby back bitch. That’s all there is to it. Never were, and never will be true hunters. And don’t even bring up the whole “managing the population” bullshit card that all you wannabe “hunters” like to pull. If populations need managing, and the ecosystem needs to be saved and maintained, then we ought to legalize murder, as after all, humans are the most over populated animal and are destroying the environment.
@fabacarini
@fabacarini 5 жыл бұрын
If it weren’t for all those weapons those “cowards” hide behind, hardly we would even be here. How do you think they hunted throughout history? With flower, talking kindly to the animals or with spears and axes? The weapons are the proof of our higher intellect(that is what I was talking about when I said that we dominate nature). Our unique abilities make the Homo sapiens superior, we’re not stronger than most of those creatures, but we’re smart enough to create weapons that could destroy all the species on earth(even our own lol) if you don’t think that’s superiority, well... then I don’t know what it is. If you think hunters are stupid only because they like doing that, again, that’s fine. But as I said, evolution gave us the intellectual superiority to play with nature, we’re only enjoying it. BTW, I don’t even like hunting, never hunted before, and hardly will... It’s just that I know those guys respect what they hunt. And I hate when people say that whatever humans do it’s invading animals space, where do we belong then? That’s my point, this is our home as much as theirs. I’m starting to be repetitive ;)

For those who want insight into the WHY: 1. Scientists/Biologists closely keep track of the ecology and BALANCE in the area 2. They sell tags for hunters to hunt specific animals on very strict terms 3. The purpose is to raise money to fund back into the ecosystem, while balancing populations for a healthy and sustainable wildlife If one animal becomes too populated it can really mess up the balance in a certain area. This system maintains that balance. It is backed by biologists who understand the ecology, and hunters who also want to give back by paying for these tags. It took me a few years to really understand this. These people can't just get up and go hunting for bears. They must follow a very strict guideline. There is poor-ethical hunting in the world, but that is slowly diminishing because of the bad effects it has. This is the opposite of that.

I understand hunting and how it works but I will never understand how cowardly human beings are. This is an animal that, without a gun, could end your life in 5.8 seconds. One that you would never not carry a weapon when in their territory. But yet, these cowards go out and kill them for 'sport', because we have weapons. It's not to control population, nature does that all by itself, and has for millions and millions of years. Humans don't need to control the ecosystem. Hunting for food is one thing, hunting for thrills is another. I desperately hope on the next hunt his gun malfunctions and he gets mauled by the bear he's trying to kill!! We'll see how brave he is then.

Even as an avid outdoorsman, gun owner, trapper and hunter, I can understand the raw emotion behind people who say it's wrong to hunt bears and some other animals, because they are so majestic. BUT with that said, I also have the intelligence that the anti-hunters don't have, and that is backed by studies done by the real conservationists who understand that a predator without a predator will destroy every other animal in the forrest, and will overpopulate which then leads to disease and illness in that animal. Maybe not a perfect example, but still a rather extreme case is in the Everglades where the Burmese Python (which is an invasive species) has literally destroyed most of the animal population because it has no predator to challenge it and keep it in check. Hunters have been given authority to kill them on sight, and are being depended on to save the animal populations in the Everglades. This will probably be unsuccessful since a single Burmese Python lays almost 100 eggs and is totally out of control. The B. Python truly is a majestic creature, and I say that as someone who used to own one, and I still own several snakes as pets. But I fully support the hunting of them where they are causing an imbalance in nature. The point being, hunters are used by real conservationists who keep data on animal populations to control and help nature thrive. Long before a species is in jeopardy, hunting of that animal will be suspended and the predators killing it can then be hunted to help balance it out.

@coltonreeves6893
@coltonreeves6893 4 жыл бұрын
@@garywright9715 Who do you think pays for most of that conservation? Do you realize who the first people to start the conservation movement in America (and the rest of the world) were? They were hunters. And I've got a news flash for you, in the absence of private hunters, the government kills just as many if not more of these animals than hunters do. Just look at California for example. All the tree huggers in the cities who really have no idea about conservation complained when they considered allowing mountain lion hunts again, and they successfully blocked the courts from allowing cougar hunting in the state of California. The result? Tons of farmers began having their livestock killed by mountain lions, people's pets in suburbs started getting killed, and people hiking on trails started to be attacked again. So now, the government goes out and kills the mountain lions themselves. When the rangers can't keep up with the amount of the population that needs to be culled, they contract out to professional commercial hunters who are getting paid to do nothing but kill these animals, and oftentimes are not allowed to harvest any meat from their quarry. So, what you're really saying is that you are okay with people getting paid to hunt wildlife, but you're not okay with people paying to hunt wildlife (which in turn gets donated to conservation efforts) and actually using the meat to feed themselves and their families. You're a hypocrite, just like many other self-proclaimed environmentalists who support practices that are extremely damaging to the ecosystem (like the ban on logging in the Pacific Northwest, but that's a whole other can of worms).
@garywright9715
@garywright9715 4 жыл бұрын
@@coltonreeves6893 First of all I'm no environmentalist....I hate tree huggers as much as you. I made a short statement and you read every friggin left wing supposition into it. Who pays for most of the conservation? Eh the f'ing tax payers do. The govt actively hunt brown bear, cougars, moose, polar bears, tigers, lions, sharks, leopard seals,leopards, whales....No they don't. They manage wildlife and allow hunters to hunt. You think your dollars managed by bureaucrats put all that money into conservation? No! They enact laws and use the money how they see fit. And then you go on a rant about farmers loosing livestock...Really? Ever heard of the forestry? They are govt employees that are their to enforce federal and state laws. Cougars arn't the problem for farmers...Govt is!!!!! Amazing how you see 7 billion humans and a few thousand bears as an in balance for the human race. Alaska is a state of over 500,000 square miles with less than 1 person per square mile and yea we need to kill the bear. The bear feeds the ppl? You have any idea how silly and uneducated that sounds? When wildlife threatens us I'm all in for taking care of it. When it's ego driven ppl who can afford to pay the Govt for the privilege...Guess what? Kill to conserve is your creed. God created nature not you, and I think indulgence on our part is questionable at best. Hunters take, and their money they pay for the privilege is just their excuse to justify something they can't. When bears threaten your lively hood then I'll listen.

For all the haters: The irony is I bet you live in a house, drive a car, go to work in some office building, buy groceries from some grocery store that gets its food from some farmland...You are going to sit here blaming hunters for culling the population of bears so that the animals they prey on thrive, while you yourself are enjoying the comforts of human development that pushed the animals to the brink anyway. I dare bet you've never even donated, spent time volunteering, or even dared to go out there to help these animals (If you do, kudos to you, but I would think you would understand more about how things work...). Meanwhile, these hunters pay $$$ (like $10,000+) to hunt them which does a lot more to support conservational efforts than some angry pro-animal life KZbin comment. Get off your high horse and self-glorifying morals and open your eyes to see the bigger picture. If you don't like what you see, then move on and watch other videos.

Hunters go hunting for only one single reason. For their pleasure. It is a myth that they have to protect moose or elk or others. The co-existance worked for tons of years. Hunters simply don't like predators. This is why they are killing them.

Awesome hunt man, way to go for explaining it to those who don’t understand what conservation means. Seams to me that most the people negatively commenting have never hunted to put food on the table, or to preserve the source of that food- it’s not just about the trophy. Get over yourselves- it’s all part of life.

Fool what's the use of this hunt? We are not even a part of ecosystem now. If humans disappeared right now everything that exists will be benefited by our disappearance. But we are pests & causing damage to entire world & are responsible for extinction of thousands of species. Trophy hunting is responsible for that. Once we were a part of balancing the ecosystem not now. We are entirely exploiting the nature. You look like a kid that knows nothing about animals & their impact on nature

Scientific wildlife management calls for taking out a certain number of bears each year to help vulnerable populations of moose and caribou calves. Brown and black bear are thriving in Alaska! The people that want them the thrive, the Alaska Game and Fish, say that for the ecosystem to remain balanced we NEED to take out more bears through hunting. Thanks for the positive comments.
@jeffmarks1506
@jeffmarks1506 6 жыл бұрын
We don't need to "take out" anything unless you have to. A bear doing it's thing is shot and killed without a chance to defend and you cite the bear population. Why do you hunt bear ? For what? To put in your log cabin saying im tough because i stalked and killed a bear. Keep the guns clean. We wouldn't want a gun jam with a charging pissed off bear.

Its funny how the owner of this video says the government needs these bears to be killed to keep moose and elk populations healthy. But then you look at the lower states, wolves and mountain lion and other big game hunters have been decimated and yet the deer run amok. Also its odd when you look at nearly every study of bears of all kinds except polar bears, they mostly subsist on foraging small game, berries, and carrion.....rarely if ever do they hunt and kill moose or elk. If you think the federal game commision and the people selling those tags are immune to ignorance and greed I have some swamp land to sell you, just look at the ignorance at the very top like Trump and everyone else in the GOP. The most popular hunt in these areas is a bear and MOOSE combo hunt, he even says this in the video at 1:40 , how dare you say this is for moose conservation. Just google do brown bears hunt moose, the answer is a flat fucking no, they wouldnt take the risk, and if you try to say they only eat young, try eating the young moose when its constantly guarded until nearly full grown by an angry mother with horns capable of ripping car doors to shreds!!! And they advertise that it takes no skill, you sit in a boat for most of it while being served food and drinks, and they list even somebody who is need of bypass surgery and cant walk 100 feet is able to kill a bear. Jesus fucking christ you god damn lying, cowardly, horrible people, I hope a bear catches you and eats your fucking throat out while you cry for help.
@LucanianIndico

Also, I'm far from a vegan that is against hunting. Go hunt some deer that are running amok thanks to humans, go hunt some gators if you want to hunt a predator, but stay the fuck outta the one area we havnt fucked up in northern North America. Go fish in the amazon, go hunt a water buffalo for all i care. But hunt responsibly, don't believe everything you hear. Ask one top ranger in the Alaskan wilderness if he hasn't seen a decrease in remote bear populations. An increase in bears encroaching on human camps is because of increased human presence, not because of increased population of bears!!!!
@bearhuntingmagazine
@bearhuntingmagazine 6 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy, I hear where you're coming from. You've got a right to an opinion, but you opinion doesn't line up with some facts. We aren't looking to win any conservation awards for our bear hunting, but your science is off. Brown bears are SERIOUS moose calf predators (go look at the research). They are trying to reduce brown bear populations in some areas (this was one of them). Here is a quote from the Alaska Game and Fish Website: "“Fewer than 10 percent of the calves are surviving to five months old,” Crouse said. “There are a lot of calves being born. They’re just not surviving very long.” Recruitment is barely keeping up with the death rate of older animals, he noted. “The low density population appears to be due to predation,” Kavalok concluded. “Habitat is not limiting at all in the area. Everything is pointing towards predators.” (www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=wildlifenews.view_article&articles_id=266)

Actually the reason wild animal populations aren't balanced is because humans overturn the balance because they've been over hunting. In reality both animal populations are dwindling.

Great stuff lads :) Also I laugh my ass off at comments people make (its always on bear videos) these people know nothing about nature, bears or hunting. They all seem to think bears of all breeds are dying off for some reason when reality in most places there are as many if not more bears around today then 100 years ago, bears will destroy areas of wildlife in large numbers the same can be said of wolves. They just go through all the food (other animals) until they are all dead or move on then forcing the bears to move out to go after them and other animals. The people who scream the most often know the least.
