He is the shortest creepiest little man with brown teeth He's well known for ripping people off and the police protect him. They threaten people who try to file charges on him That would be in Kenai Alaska In civilization, right here among liberals and feminazis. Alaska is not a red state. Although it appears to be. But every Republican is a RINO anyway - Republican in name only. I'm not taking sides - I don't do politics anymore, my point is - there's no other side of the aisle anymore. We live under a one party for profit system. The opponents will appear to battle it out in public and on the media to satisfy voters - but behind closed doors they're working together hand in hand, taking us all down for their personal profit. It still blows my mind that we have the term "career politician" in this country. Maybe because innocent people get convicted of crimes, and it's often not discovered that they were innocent until years later, if at all. Or maybe it's because if it's wrong for them to kill people it's also wrong for us to do it as a society, and that by killing them we become no better than them. Maybe we shouldn't be hypocritical about whether it's okay to kill people. Or maybe it's just a bad idea for governments to have the right to kill their own citizens, under any circumstances, because such power can be misused. Take your pick.

At least nowadays, the FBI know many serial killers are usually married and have at least 1 child since many who were caught, were married. I remember crime documentaries in the 80s always depicted them to be loners, worked jobs that didn't interact with people, weren't close to family, etc etc. Boy were profiles way off back then. At least now they know not to go for loners. The loners are sadly..the ones that do mass shooting sprees. Serial killers are unfortunately too plenty in this world, so I'm glad DNA and forensic science are so incredible now. Good job on the one determined officer in this story. All it takes is one super cop to crack a case. 👍

I've done time in Alaska, and he's got nothing to worry about. Prisoners are quite safe in prison; they've only ever had one murder in their prison system. I know it seems like he's getting off easy, but that's really not the case. He'll be locked in a cage within a cage, within a cage for the rest of his days. The important thing is he has been removed from society. The death penalty is one more power the state should have over anyone. Think about how corrupt our government is, and ask if we really want the state, at any echelon, to have such power. Just so we're clear, I'm not a bleeding-heart leftist; all humans have the right to defend their lives by any means necessary. I own a lot of guns, and served in the Army in OIF. I've seen how the government works.
@christinamenhennett2 жыл бұрын
@@thatguy22441 well then AK sure has changed since I lived there. I've seen Alaskan Bush Law in action and that's what he deserves. Why did she refuse the lie detector test. Even if she failed it, she herself had done nothing wrong, and the test is not admissible in court, so the police could not use it against her.
@Pushing_Pixels Жыл бұрын
The same reason she told the driver who picked her up to take her to the motel instead of a police station. People on the margins of society learn not to trust police, because those same police are often looking to put them in jail. They don't expect the police to actually help them. She probably declined because she thought if the test went badly, she could be charged for making a false statement. This was in the 1970's, and it was even more the case back then than today.

"His father Christian Hansen (1907-1983) owned a bakery in the town, and Robert was employed at the bakery. In his youth, he was painfully shy, had a stutter and severe acne that left him permanently scarred. Not receiving the attention he wanted from the attractive girls in school, Hansen grew up hating them and nursing fantasies of cruel revenge. Throughout childhood and adolescence, Hansen was described as being quiet and a loner, and he had a difficult relationship with his domineering father. He started to practice both hunting and archery, and often found refuge in these pastimes. In 1957, Hansen enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and served for one year before being discharged. He later worked as an assistant drill instructor at a police academy in Pocahontas, Iowa. There, he began a relationship with a younger woman. He married her in the summer of 1960." -- wiki

@@Smorss2011 Thanks for asking! Also, thanks for your curious observation, because these are few times I am getting 'exposed' to the 'wacko' monsters who had killed other innocent people, and I am still very shocked by these desensitized humanly acts. So, now is the focus of the real control factors for those monsters and the brains they possess, so those people who killed innocent people are 'scattering' over a wide spread spectrum, especially those are not too smart but thought they would be able to outsmart the authorities, like Robert Hansen in this case, to the maladaptive and 'autistic' brain of Adam Lanza, who had been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, and who also have a different approach to murders: He is not the one who can do the serial killing, while MANY 'sneaky' others are NOT doing the mass killing. Also, he is the one who was NOT spreading the killings over many decades, but he was 'getting it over with' in the matter of a few minutes. Both of them have some different coping mechanisms, and one accepts the punishment AFTER getting caught by the authorities, and the other accepts the self-imposed punishment by suicide, unless I am wrong on this detail because of my faulty memory (bad recall.)

There's no profit. It's the same thing with domestic abuse - there's absolutely no profit in it, so they pass the bill on to the taxpayers The USA is the most litigious country in the world, 90% of all lawsuits and criminal justice actions take place in the USA The USA jails more people per capita than in any other country - and that is also for profit, they go after the most vulnerable, the path of least resistance - so the majority of inmates are in for drug crimes. Because that's how you get the most federal funding into your state. You only get these big cases out of prosecutors before there's an election year - they're very expensive to prosecute. And public defenders can't cash in We have to remember one thing about this country, it is a capitalist country and absolutely everything and every politician has a price tag, everything is for sale - including Justice The politician that brings in the most profit, wins.
