Top tip, cut all your blocks first then lay them as you place the joists out, it keeps your spaces perfect and saves all the time trying to match blocks to spaces and hammering them home. Great work but really tough on your own, been there myself.
@petet41596 ай бұрын
Congrats. One suggestion is to add blocking in between the joist in the middle of the span. This will stiffen the floor and take the bouncing out

Came across your channel by accident. Im a big old hard hearted retired cop. Not much moves me. But your story. Wow I had to wipe away the tears. Stay strong girl and never forget your doing what Ryan would have wanted you to do😊

Girl, I had to come back on here again and tell you how very proud I am of you. I can’t believe what you’re doing and I know Ryan is smiling down on you for some reason you start having problems and you need help. Don’t hesitate to call the Rainies. They also live in upper Alaska and help people who need help with homesteading. You probably seen there if not look up on KZbin.

Just a quick reminder. You can't rush perfection. You can't out run a bear without shoes. If you're alone in the bush you need a firearm because some bears and moose are just plane hateful and mean. Please stay safe and good luck with your home i will pray for your heart to heal and for you staying safe on this journey.

Lots to learn and be inspired by. Amazing what you've been able to accomplish so far. About a woodstove.. have you thought about building a rocket stove? Might not work if you are insuring your home, but built right you can heat your home more efficiently, longer and with much less firewood.
