Alastor got beaten by adam and because they killed adam after, the angels will most likely focus their extermination efforts on the Hotel instead of all of hell. i think that the Vees are somewhat lacking in fighting power but make up for it with manipulation and influence. So being in a position where your enemies (Heaven) and rivals (Overlords) are fighting eachother seems like a perfect situation to be cocky for them. Thats probably why they tried to rally them up to fight the angels when they had the overlord meeting.

Keep in mind what Valentino says to Vox at the beginning of Stayed Gone. “What? Still pissed that he ALMOST beat you that time?” Vox has won in a fight against Alastor, who has canonically felled multiple powerful and ancient overlords. Plus, his plus Valentino and Velvette’s combined abilities would probably be enough to yes, indeed, fill the power vacuum

Not sure why they think its gonna be great for them given this is the only extermination in history where Hell didn't come out "pissing". The only advantage is that Alastor was out but he is already back so they will have a bad Surprise very early on. Unless Carmilla consumed all her angelic steel reserves and the cannibal queen all her minions.

They’re definitely playin it super cocky, but I think they’re baggin on Heaven focusin efforts on the Hazbin/those who rebelled against the exorcists. If that’s what happens then they have a significant leg up all things considered because the hotel and those who fought will be way more down on their luck. At least- that’s what I presume they’re gettin at.
