I am loving the Alastar vs Vox rivalry. "Stayed Gone" is a great song. I love how how quickly Alastor shows up to diss Vox even harder. Also, I'm so glad they didn't go the obvious, overused story route of having Charlie believe Sir Pentious when he got caught and kicking out Angel Dust or whatever for the sake of drama. I hate that misunderstanding trope.

Alastor is part deer because sinners take the form of how they died and what their life was like in the time period they died. So a huge theory (not sure if it’s been confirmed though) is that he was a Creole radio broadcaster who was a serial killer/cannibal when he was alive I believe in like the late 1920s-early 30s and one day while hiding a body a hunter mistook him for a deer and shot him in the head. It’s also stated that Alastor hates dogs which would make sense because hunters sometimes have dogs with them. Also I’m saying shot in the head is because when he starts to go into his more demon form you can see a red X appear right in the forehead. If you don’t know by now you can see how a sinner dies sometimes by either an X or a + or sometimes little blotches (example of this case would be Nifty’s dress) which these usually indicate some form of external damage. If it’s internal like Angel’s or Husk’s case it wouldn’t show. Also love the idea of Alastor being like a Wendigo not just because of the deer parts but also the cannibalism and how cold hearted he is. And in the end of the Vox vs Alastor song I don’t think that was his “full” demon form. It just seemed too tame.
@EverythingAndAnythingGoes2410 ай бұрын
I like how you’re saying Al’s transformation at the end of the song is so tame so that it can’t be his full transformation, and yet I’ve heard/read so many people saying that it’s actually scary or terrifying, so that just makes me wonder: if he does have a full transformation beyond the one we’ve seen, just how much more terrifying is it gonna be?
@butterflywarrioredits10 ай бұрын
@@EverythingAndAnythingGoes24 I mean I agree that this form is really terrifying but knowing how Alastor is it just seemed more on the tame side. So if this isn’t his full form I’m excited to see what it is and how much more terrifying it is.

I can say that this episode was the most entertaining one yet as we see the Vs at their first appearance since the pilot without any voice. As well it seems interesting to state on Alastor’s Full Demon form being a Wendigo based design 🤩 as I was thinking he would be a deer demon but Wendigo is a whole different story. So I can’t wait to see if there be more demon full versions coming in the other episodes to shine more designs in characters to draw.

It's great to see you enjoying the show so much! I've really been loving a lot of the new songs too! I feel like I've seen a lot of negativity because the show doesn't match what people have been building up in their heads for the last 4 years, so it's really refreshing to see someone appreciating the show for what it is, instead of criticizing it for not being what they wish it was

I always try to warn people to not let what you created in your head ruin your experience of something. It’s never going to be exactly what you’d imagine and to put unrealistic expectations on something isn’t fair. Alastor's reign of terror on Earth came to an end when he died in 1933. While taking his victims's corpses out to the hunting ground one winter, Alastor kneeled down and began feasting on their remains like an animal. A hunter came across this display, accompanied by a pack of hunting dogs. One of the dogs barked at Alastor's direction, leading to the hunter mistaking Alastor for a deer (or any wild animal) and hastily shooting at him, resulting in Alastor being mortally wounded. Alastor attempted to escape, but the hunter, having not yet realized his mistake, sicced the pack of hunting dogs on the wounded serial killer. Due to his injuries, Alastor was unable to escape and was viciously mauled to death by the canines, ending his wicked life once and for all. - So his cup "Oh Deer" indeed.. makes sense.

Has it been confirmed since as much of the prior lore is now uncertain i would wait until the show states as such although it still makes sense. A theory I have is that “rehabilitation” means acting like angels. Notice how none of this really addresses personal issues and circumstances that lead to where you were. This feels like a “if you act white enough, maybe I’ll see you as a person” I think Charlie thinks if she can make them “people” in the eyes of the angels, they will stop killing the demons. But Charlie, one can never act right enough, you need to get the angels to see them as people as they are.
@dodiswatchbobobo9 ай бұрын
My theory is that Charlie learned morality from certain groups of Catholics and Baptists that got famous for the wrong reasons. It’s unlikely she’d ever met an angel before Adam who was not actively engaged in extermination.

That morality play probably hit every single one of Angel’s insecurity spots. He plays a drug addict who never got enough hugs*, while the person Charlie’s been comparing him unfavorably to all day, Sir Pentious, plays the innocent who gets to never go down that road and very explicitly is NOT sexual in any way. * (backstory from Vivziepop: his dad was a 1940’s gangster who didn’t approve of his gay son)
