But for my Dad's sake, who was expecting the Tax cuts we still haven't got, I put labour above liberal... but both were still 2nd to last & last on my list. Back at the dawn of her political career, (as a Dandenong Councillor), she was often cynically referred to as "Fresh Air Claire", the next big thing. Despite her relatively meteoric rise into federal politics, she remains a person of little to no substance, the "fresh air" seemingly to have morphed into "stale air". It beggars belief that people of her calibre, continually manage to find their way into positions of authority. A tailor made fit, for a spot in the Albanese government, I guess. Heaven help us.

Interesting background. You are quite right about people of lower calibre finding their way into positions of power. I have a theory that this is mainly due to the continual dumbing down of our education systems (here and elsewhere in the world) over the last 30 years or so and we have started to see the results of this policy in the last couple of decades. Claire O'Neil is low grade, but Andrew Giles is worse. The left also have have this unwavering belief that they are right (with supporting facts and evidence, being optional) and become increasingly loud and aggressive when challenged.
