ALBANIA | Perfect Road Trip Itinerary from Tirana to Albanian Alps (2024)

Located in the heart of the Balkans Albania, it is an often-overlooked and rarely mentioned or given credit for its paradise. It's definitely exceeded my expectations. Breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and people offer warm hospitality. I absolutely fall in love with this country.
In this video, my trip starts from the capital Tirana. Then heading north to the Albanian Alps and visiting some stunning places.

Kruja is a very ancient town goes back a thousand years or more it was Albania capital during Kastrioti rule. Albania a very nice country i vsited last month but the tourisem is booming now compare to 5 years ago it was better less people and more peacful now alot of westrens are choosing albania since is cheaper and has same beaches as greece or spain. anyways love Albania i plan to retire there ciao fromm italia Palermo Albanesi Arberesh people in italy for 500 years have contributed alot in my italia a reason to love Albania more as italian

Tirana is not small. It is just centralized. Meaning, most of things you need are around the city's centre, so you don't get to walk much and giving the impression that it is small.

What are the odds of getting pulled over? I'm from the US and don't have an international drivers permjt.

Police is definitely stopping people there. We saw few stopped but they never stopped us I guess because we had Albanian number plates on. Driving in Albania can be very challenging due to their driving style so I would definitely recommend you to check with your local authorities if you can drive with your license or you need to get a permit.

Nice video untill You mentioned Kruja. Please FactCheck or at least read before you post sth: Kruja is NOT a village !!! When Kruja was a city and In 1190 it became the capital of the Principality of Arbër and later the capital of the Kingdom of Albania, Bucharest did not even exist ( Bucharest was first mentioned in documents in 1459 and became capital in 1862)
