Nice video. I grew up watching the SP&S switch the sawmill and feed mill on the south end of JC with Alco road switchers back in the50's and 60's. Many changes since then.

Very cool! I’m jealous of that memory! I recently purchased a few of the new Bowser SP&S RS-3s in HO scale. They are a great detailed model! Very much must have changed since then. But at least PNWR keeps serving customers-and I am grateful the line is still there!

Had a former coworker go contract rail and ended up working that road for a while said it was similar to our road good people and work but management sucked and were pretty short handed. Seems to be the consensus industry wide especially at short lines.

I saw them moving along on my to Coos Bay .I honked.Then on the way back we saw a unknown train heading North with Lumber and such .Never got to see what company it was .
