The Albany, NY South End was my neighborhood growing up in the 1960's and 1970's. I sure miss those days and the friendships that were real. You can't find real people like that anymore. Great video!

You should do these tours around one in the afternoon and in nice weather. Your viewers would get to see all the hood rats out on their porches and in the streets. It's quite a show.

Yeah, you're right. It all just depends on how my travel plans work out ag each destination.

Albany remind me of boston or the new england area frfr had a good time when i was there

It's only 45 min - an hour away from the New England / MA border, so it's very similar.

Albany is the kind of place where you have to find stuff to do or look hard. There are some cool things, especially for the cities size.

Albany used to great and safe place to life. Now it’s in the toilet. Gun violence, homelessness abandoned buildings. Landlords are all living in NYC. I remember going into a store and they had lead cords coming in both sides of the store through the windows Because there was no power in the building. Was that way for years. Sad state of affairs.
@infinite.destinationsАй бұрын
You are right about all the landlords. The city itself is so old and falling apart. Too bad a lot of the architecture I'd beautiful.

This is an in depth tour of Arbor Hill and other impoverished neighborhoods in Albany. It would have been well rounded to have shown Winchester Gables, Beverwyck, Helderberg, Buckingham Pond areas as well.
@infinite.destinations3 ай бұрын
I see where you are coming from, but this is specifically a hood tour video, only meant to show the rougher and more dangerous areas.

Stereotypical to show only what's considered impoverished neighborhoods, and then when the racial slurs, categorizing, projections, generalizing and/or name callings take root, everyone starts crying bloody murder and/or fowl i.e."How dare you put down our neighborhood. . ." That friggin' protocol is a mess when it comes down to people.
@infinite.destinations2 ай бұрын
It's not stereotypical if the title specifically states it's a hood tour, like this video does...
