The most awaited video is finally out!
POV: I was the one eagerly waiting for this video to drop but I couldn't get around to it because l'm just a lazy bum.
Know Before You Go
The Gap and Natural Bridge are a short drive from the center of the town of Albany. There is a fee to enter the national park. Heed the warning signs. Do NOT walk out onto the Natural Bridge. King waves and swells have swept many people off the rocks, often resulting in death.
Day 2 Trip: Exploring Albany, Western Australia
Discover the raw beauty and powerful energy of Albany, Western Australia, from ancient rock formations at The Gap to the towering turbines of Albany Wind Farm. A perfect blend of nature and innovation.
Breakfast at the Bush Camp
•Start your day with a hearty breakfast in the tranquility of your bush camp. It's the perfect setting to soak in the natural beauty of Western Australia. The bush camps in this region offer a unique experience, allowing you to connect with nature while enjoying the comforts of outdoor living.
Stop 1: The Gap and Natural Bridge
• The Gap: This dramatic granite formation offers a breathtaking view of the Southern Ocean as it crashes against the rugged cliffs. The Gap is a 24-meter drop down to the ocean, where the waves create a mesmerizing show of power and beauty. The viewing platform extends over the edge, offering a thrilling experience for those who dare to step out.
• Natural Bridge: Located nearby, this natural rock formation resembles a bridge carved by the relentless forces of the ocean. It's a stunning example of nature's artistry, with the waves continually sculpting the granite.
• Fun Fact: The granite rocks at The Gap and Natural
Bridge are over 1.6 billion years old, making them some of the oldest rocks in Australia.
Stop 2: Albany Wind Farm
• Albany Wind Farm: This wind farm is one of the largest and most efficient in Australia, providing around 80% of Albany's electricity needs. The wind turbines stand tall along the coastline, harnessing the strong winds of the region to generate clean, renewable energy.
• Interesting Tidbit: Each turbine at the Albany Wind Farm is as tall as a 15-story building, with blades that stretch 35 meters long. Together, these turbines reduce carbon emissions by over 250,000 tons per year, making a significant contribution to the environment.
• Scenic Views: The wind farm also offers spectacular views of the coastline and the surrounding landscape.
There are several walking trails that allow visitors to explore the area and learn more about renewable energy.
Things to Pack:
Warm Clothing: Even in summer, Albany can be cool, especially near the coast. Pack layers to stay comfortable.
