Hey brother I appreciate you showing how difficul that was. A word of advice- try not to use a flathead. If you MUST (and I repeat, avoid this), wrap a rag or towel at the end to try and avoid scratches. What worked for me is a plastic tool I use to take tires off my bikes. It’s plastic and flat and won’t scratch the gauges. Cheers mate

While this was helpful, I HIGHLY recommend that you do not use a stew driver and he did here. As you can see, he scratched the rim of the clock and left a few marks on the leather of the dash.

@@AlbanyCountyFasteners I would use the plastic tools commonly used by upholstery shops. I do agree with you however, it is very difficult to remove. I have the same problem.

You can see the damage that was done with that screwdriver, just cringeworthy stuff. This plus the fact that you can't wirelessly charge once the steel plate is installed behind your cover makes this a no sale.

I doubt that there are many people watching who have a 1989 Porsche 911. And for those who have one, how useful is this video? About 1/3 of the 22.22 minute video was spent in moving the clock outward from the dash panel so that the cell phone mount could be installed. I believe the producers could find subject matter that is useful to more people. This video ranks with some of the worst I've seen.

Lawrence, thank you for your feedback but you be surprised how many Porsche owners struggle to remove the clock to attach the bracket. Even though you are not a Porsche owner, those who are, this video will help them understand whats involved to install one of these mounts. Thanks for watching.
