I Recreated 'Homage to the Square: Apparition' by Josef Albers | Epic Fail
I recreated a famous painting! In this art challenge series, I demonstrate how to paint like famous artists I admire by imitating their process and form. Famous paintings recreated can be an excellent way to learn various techniques and expand your skills. In repainting famous art, one gets a feel for where the artist was headed with the piece. Famous art, especially recreating famous art, teaches us in a way that merely looking at the art never could. For this reason, I recreated a famous painting. Learn to paint like a professional and paint like a famous artist by copying the greats.
In this video I attempt to paint like Josef Albers, taking hints from Josef Albers' color exercises, from his book 'Interaction of Color.' I would consider this a bad art recreation, considering it turned out to be sort of an epic fail. No worries! The whole point of this exercise is to learn from art, and that's what I did!

Hey, Albers said in one his books that this type of exercises about colors and their interactions must not be made with painting, because of irregular shades and non regular lines. He prefers color pages.
