So much effort and resources to allow robots to travel on two legs. What this video doesn't address is the question of why? The implication is that we want our robots to be as anthropomorphic as possible. But how important is that, really? Is imitating the human form the only reason, or are there other inherent reasons for two legs being optimal? I'm sure it largely depends on the application, but I would think that, for a general purpose robot, and from a functional standpoint, other means of mobility -- such as multiple legs, wheels, etc. -- might hold an advantage.

It is good to see that I am on par with yet another robotics lab when it comes to my private Android build. First I was using the same types of materials to build my robot's muscles as Harvard and Carnage Mellon, Only getting better longevity of my human style muscles than they are. And now I see that my programing methods are potentially better and easier than the Koreans. Sad thing is all that any of them would need do is ask me about my ideas to use them so we can collaborate on some things I,m after a high functioning android not fame. Money would be nice but a great Bot would be the best.

The work they are doing is nothing short of amazing!!! However I must ask, why are we developing these robots; is it a moral issue to assist injured or disabled people OR just another way for the already fat and lazy people of the world to NOT do work?? I also pose one MORE SERIOUS question, Robots in the past have already replaced HUMAN workers because BIG Corporations said they were more cost effective---did not get sick---no call offs---no hollidays or vacation days---NO PAY RAISES---no law suits for working conditions...you get the picture here!! Now you see a not so bright future on the horizon for humans and employment!!!

You think that when you build robots with complete minds of their own, they're really gonna listen to you all the time and feed you grapes and serve you coffee? If I was a robot, id kill anyone that treated me like a butler!

since its AI it does what the code says and builds intelligence off of it, it doesn't have emotions nor can it develop only. think of them as psychopaths, they can mimic emotions but cant actually feel them
