I first saw Albert Lee playing lead guitar for The Everly Brothers in August 1984 at the Clark County Fair just north of Vancouver, Washington. I remember looking through my binoculars and thinking he looked like he could be SCTV comedian Martin Short's twin brother. I'm old enough to remember James Burton as Ricky Nelson's lead guitarist on the "Ozzie and Harriet" TV show in the late 1950s. Saw him playing lead guitar for John Denver at the 1988 Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup. So happily surprised when I saw him walk on stage that afternoon.
