Albert Lee LIVE at Norman's Rare Guitars - Part 1

One of the great honors of Norm's life being able to bring the legendary Albert Lee to play at our store, for our first full band concert! This is part 1 of an hour and half show, which features 3 songs: "I'm Ready" "Two Step Too" and "Wheels". Albert has played for 5 years in Eric Clapton's band, 25 years with the Everly Brothers, and has played with George Harrison, and check out the Concert for George. He's the guitar player's guitar player, and why did we do this? We did this because we love you all. Enjoy, and watch out for more songs from the concert!

Saw him at Green Hotel in Kinross, Fife , Scotland. Took my disco chick girlfriend who had no idea who he was. She loved what he played and how he played commenting on his age. It was a small audience and we all went to the bar after. He sat down with his family and friends. Looked like his wife was in a wheelchair. One of the most influential guitarists in history was so understated and unassuming. We just left him in peace. Awesome.

Surprise: Jen is a one person production company! She is doing the work of a dozen skilled people and doing it well! Whatever Norm is paying her, it's not enough. Brandon did a great job on audio as well. Albert and the band did great, as expected.

Albert playing and singing on a great version of Gram Parsons song “Wheels”. Doesn’t get any better than that. Hard to believe it was April 1967 when I first saw Albert playing live. At that time he was playing guitar with Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds.

Blow away, easily my favorite video from Norm's ever, can't wait to see the rest of this show. Its so obvious Albert could have chosen to be the front man for himself, while his playing is legendary, his singing is amazing too, what a awesome talented man!
