Against the movie, the choreography was lazy. They stole most of it from the game and there was ridiculous amounts of cross fire. It's like Claire and Chris were trying to kill eacother as much as Wesker. Wesker was also smiling way too much. Notice how in the original media, wesker's always been incredibly serious. Save for quick little jypes like the little sinister laugh he does. And since when did Wesker ever show a las plagas parasite?? It was never tied to the t-virus or the ouroboros parasite that he has. He never had a plagas parasite. They essentially made up a bogus fucking weakness just to kill him in a way that saved money.

It is so insanely weird how when you match them up how close they are YET we all prefer the game version. I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that when you play a game you are actively engaged in it. Nothing happens unless you push the sticks and buttons. As much as cinephiles hate to admit it, a video game keeps the audience far more engaged in a movie. You spend FAR more time with a game, characters, the environment and everything in between in the 0 - 100 plus hours you may play a game, so you become far more accepting of its world, lore and design than even a 3 hour film. This being said. It's crazy how they at least tried to match video game Wesker and in a lot of shots got it right, but the fact it's live action (and depending on cinematography) it just looks bad compared to the already pre-accepted wild anime-ish world of RE5.

I know the characters themselves never mentioned Wesker prior to this point and i know a good movie always explains these kinds of things but the fact that we never saw Chris or Claire interact with Wesker prior to this scene adds to the mystery and in my opinion much more interesting. Maybe Chris has had encounters with Wesker in the past that werent shown in the films. Him not mentioning Wesker earlier in the film doesnt necessarily mean that hes never met him. He also couldnt have known Wesker was inside this ship the whole time therefore he'd have no reason to mention him to anyone throughout the film prior to this moment. Personally i like how they did this cuz it allows me to sort of make up reasons as to how those 3 might know each other. We have no idea where Claire was prior to the events of RE3 and the audience kind of got a backstory as to where Chris was prior to him his first appearance in the movie. So i think they did this on purpose to allow the audience to be left questions. Most of the time the audience members dont like when this happens cuz they prefer knowing everything.

If they didn't add her we would have no twist to the plot. While I do agree they should have done some things differently like adding Leon and Wesker and Chris and Claire earlier to the story, not every thing has to be like what it's based off of. Constantin Film, the German company making all the RE movies, is fully licensed by Capcom - meaning they paid millions of dollars for the film rights and they essentially own everything about RE when it comes to live-action as long as the license is renovated. Alice was originally created because Anderson's pitch for the first movie (the only half-decent one) didn't involve any of the game's characters on purpose after McEllroy and Romero's scripts were rejected. After that, she only stuck around because Milla Jovovich married Anderson, who was the George Lucas of the first 6 movies - not only he wrote and produced all of them, he also directed 4 (just like Lucas with Star Wars Episodes 1-to-6). Capcom is fine with whatever Constantin does as long as it brings in money and keeps people aware of the brand. To them, the movies are just big commercials for the games - but, unlike normal commercials, not only they don't have to pay for them, they actually directly profit from them. That's a win-win situation in my book. Too bad the movies suck.

Not a terrible attempt tbh. What nobody is giving props is loyalty to the source and shot for shot callbacks. That's pretty damn cool when they can deliver considering most IPs get ruined otherwise

The acting in this scene is pretty competent, in fact, I think Wesker’s actor is actually pretty good. And the choreography was pretty top notch. But unfortunately once Chris and Claire were trapped in the tubes, the scene loses all its fun real fast. Alice saving them, sure, why not. But the CGI on the dogs is inexcusably awful. Like this is some Mortal Kombat Annihilation levels of crappy CG. And the spider coming out of Wesker’s mouth, someone behind the scenes of this movie was fucked in the head. At least Chris and Claire got to kill him in the end. But damn. This is like the metaphor of a jogger in a marathon getting a radical head start in the race, then trips over his shoelaces, skins his legs on the pavement, and bangs his head on a nearby telephone pole halfway through.

Stagpie Talks the voice of Albert wesker was most important to me. Big difference between the movie and game wesker.. Let's just say..."very poor performance indeed" in the movie.

The albert wesker in the movie has receding hairline almost bald now I 🤔 Albert Wesker in the game is too cool and his hairstyle is BADASS

Code veronica is the first game you see Wesker do this stuff and the game came out 1 year after the matrix, might be a coincidence or not. in the first game Wesker did take the prototype virus which is said to increase the abilities of the human body. I think the trench coat is more Neo than Smith but the sun glasses has stuck with Wesker for a long time so it's a high chance coincidence.
