Albert "Wind Tides" - Jeremy Wilson & Megan Gale

I was introduced to this piece a few years back when one of my Vanderbilt students performed it, and I told myself I'd record it someday. It is a wonderful journey through several different moods, and it contains sweeping melodies, some challenging acrobatics, and some really fascinating sounds and effects. I hope you enjoy listening, and I hope more and more people perform this work! Adrienne Albert says about the work: "Wind Tides for trombone and piano is a mini-concerto in a single movement with a fairly lengthy cadenza. It is in ABA form. The title comes from the obvious reference to the breath required for this instrument and from the ebb and flow of the music."
