Hi Kubier, just for my insight, wondering what the AB govt will do to the 6500 pending application which is contradict to the 5000+ remaining for the 2024.. the answer is, not all applicants will get the the approval, means there are applicants getting refused.. for example in Tourism stream, when i checked the 1st intake, the applicants submitted were around 400+ in the pool already but now only 135 has been issued a cert. a lot of applicants gets refused mostly to employers requirements and I know some applicants that were refused. so not all in the pool will received nomination cert. because they will filter it, mainly interms of eligibility..hope this helps

I just watched your video! Thank you for sharing! I have two questions and would appreciate your help: 1- You just mentioned that there is new requirement for employers (forms to complete?!). However, on AOS checklist, I just found three things in this regard. Reference letter, Job offer, and Pay stubs. what do you mean by employer forms? 2- to start an application, on Alberta website, there are two things: Create Application (which I think we should start with) and Expression of Interest. What is the first tep for Opportunity stream? Should we start with an EOS and then submit application or starting an application and submit all the required documents right away? I am unsure if it is good news or not for possible candidates. No change in requirements means tons of people will be applying each month for limited spots. If you do not secure your spot, you will keep applying each month, even if you are eligible. And more importantly, they do not have any contingency plan for "ineligible applicants" applying and wasting spots. I am pretty sure some applications are not complete and will be duplicated with other streams, wasting spots.

I don't understand how immigration consultants and others can see this as good news. With only 430 spots available for June and each subsequent month, amidst thousands of applications, it’s likely they will continue to prioritize certain occupations. Alberta is one of the worst provinces to graduate from and look for PR.

Think about all those individuals who buy into the stream criteria and abide by it by gaining the necessary work experience and education and then suddenly out of the blues, the stream is shut. Their permits are expiring and there is no update. What happens to them. Hence the stream re-opening is a very good news. Even with lower numbers atleast it offers respite to many of them who have been highly stressed and anxious.

Although the program has been reopened, the number of available spots is very limited, and I am even not hopeful about my chances and I still think that this is not good program.
