it's a very bad plan, we have it in BC and the savings are not there. More importantly there is no compensation for loss of income now or in the future. YOU WILL NOT SAVE MONEY!! bad drivers should be paying more and good divers less, we should not be subsidising bad drivers.

I totally agree. Bad and reckless drivers should pay more than a good driver. Also I sometimes find a driver might cause an accident but not be actually involved themselves. More should be done to hold these people accountable.

It's not usually the ones who drive fast and aggressive that cause the accidents, though. It's the ones who refuse to move with the flow of traffic / don't move out of the left lane

Fast means you have less distance to stop, aggressive means when you tail gate or cut infront of someone too close there is less distance to stop. If some one is doing the speed limit why should they move out of the left lane so some jerk can do illegal speeds?

@TheFreshAirChannel Because people are going to speed weather you like it or not... and by not moving over, you're forcing that person to now pass on the right, which severely increases the risk of accidents... There is no excuse for tailgating, but if someone is doing it to you, move over.

@TheFreshAirChannel Go with the flow of traffic is the point I'm making(You dont need to do 50KM above the speed limit), if 99% of the cars are doing 10-20KM above the speed limit on the freeway, and 1% is going the speed limit or slower, its the 1% who are putting the 99% at risk.

we have had by far the highest rate of insurance in canada. And now its going to even go higher. Here it is no fault insurance. So even if your not at fault your insurance pays. As a reference point, im in my 30s with a squeaky clean record. And short commute time and living in a small town. I pay more now then i did when i was 23 living in Edmonton

@@BrandonLovin-m8d we have no fault in BC. we've had it for 3 years. you can no longer sue if you get hurt, which is wrong, but annual premiums have gone down. I don't see why premiums in Alberta would go UP once no-fault kicks in. I'm just talking facts, not politics

Privet competitive insurance is the only way to go . Crown corporations are always a bad idea . Here in BC, everything is a monopoly, and everything is expensive . Less government, more free enterprise .
