There are 12v Freon compressors that are more efficient, I’ve researched the Peltier for quite some time and it only works well in direct contact heating or cooling but it’s very bad with air cooling for AC’s. Using the condenser inside the car with a fan might be better than that small fan blowing on the cold heat sinks too. So instead to taking the whole thing apart, get another condenser with contact liquid adapters and circulate the cold liquid. It will also have a quieter fan than the smaller fan. The larger the liquid tank the better and you can wrap it in rock wool or use a small bathroom heater tank and turn it into a cool water container that is cooled by the Peltier. Great project, good luck!

@@Darkipodyou may want to start with a search for 12 volt refrigerator compressors. Refrigeration compressors, etc. I would suggest not using Freon. But instead propane. Propane is a cheap readily available item. And it works excellently as a refrigerant. It is also the most environmentally safe refrigerant.

@dannydoolhoff7657
@dannydoolhoff7657 5 ай бұрын
@@hansmuro7355 there are many units on the market today that use propane as the refrigerant. Many water coolers, ice makers, refrigerators, and freezers now use propane. As a refrigerant it is referred to as R290. "The R290 system has the advantages of a fast cooling rate and high refrigeration efficiency. The average specific refrigerating effect of the R290 system is approximately 52% higher than that of R134a with the optimal charge amount." Propane is excellent as a refrigerant, and works at lower pressures than the old R-12. An R-12 system can easily be cleaned and converted to propane and because of the lower pressures, also extend the life of the system. Yes, precautions are needed as with all refrigerant systems.

Hi Great work on this project. I have done a similar experiment as well. Try the setup in parallel I think one of the specifications mention that a current limiting resistor may be required to ensure that the device does not heat up, this can also reduce the efficiency of your setup. You should use a variable speed pump so you can improve the scavenging effect of heat from the peltier block. Sometimes slowing the speed of flow will be useful to improve with heat removal. You can use PWM control for controlling the speed of your pumps. With your tubing try to have a parallel path , rather than branching into one serial connection which reduces the output flow to your heat exchanger. Need to mount the cooling side of your peltier inside the air duct work

While others only hoovers around +1 to +5 c. With that being said, theoreticly the 12703 module should cut your amp consumption in half while offering almost double the cooling.
