I was raised in the Catholic church, school till 8th grade. There are some Christians in it, but the organization itself is full of contradictions, and carryovers from pre-Christianity. The Church did not save me. When I left the school and for that matter the catholic church in general I sensed the Lord one day appear a little distance off and saying to me, 'Now you can find out who I really am'. I did nearly 10 years later and accepted Jesus Christ and at the same moment was filled with the Holy Spirit. I had no idea this was possible from the Catholic religion, and I was forgiven and knew it. In the weeks following I remember thinking how a church as big as that with all the traditions and cathedrals be missing the most important part of it all, following Christ and being Born again. Now I have seen Catholic people many warm sincere people in that church, and I believe there are Christians in that church. I have met many good ones who believe in Jesus. But the unrepenrtant direction of it in these days and it's historical errors in pretending it's authority is greater than the word of God, causes me to say...Come out of her and hold to Christ and His word as your Guide, and He will Guide you. Even many protestant denominations are falling away from the Word. That is my advice. Only rely on the Word.
