So underrated (perhaps hard to avoid when your leader is called Boo)… As a French tourist in London back in 1988, I had the opportunity to see them with a bunch of students at London University-which allowed me to verify that Lee Mavers' bad character reputation, opening act with the La’s, was not usurped. I had never heard of The Bible before, thanks again to this very small line in Time Out London that made me want it! I was blown away by the singer/songwriter skills, but the whole band sounded great (and the Boo Hewerdine albums that followed didn’t disappoint me either). Thanks for posting those videos!
