Pool requires monstrous technique and stroke knowledge that snooker players don't have. Ouschan is not only one of the greatest champions ever but he is an artist of the game. Many hits are pure poetry.

It's true. Although snooker is played on a larger table, the felt is slower and jump shots are not allowed. With the table being so long, masse shots and shots played with extreme english or draw aren't usually necessary so I can see how 8 ball and 9 ball pros are better at controlling cue ball spin and pulling off difficult jumps/masse shots that snooker players just don't encounter so often. However snooker players usually are fantastic at potting long shots due to the nature of snooker on a 12 footer.

Serial break is worst think I ever seen. Between 2-2 and 8-2 Wilson had only two shots, and both of them had no attack chances. If they want to keep sports spirit in pool, break should be alternate, otherwise it more looks like practice session of one player and not a sports competition. Hard to find all words to say how much I hate this rule. How much matches was taken on 7-7 or 8-8 just from hand without letting opponent any chance. Simply boring to watch. If opponent makes rack from break it should be like "ok, now it your turn" and if opponent does not makes same, so it means he made a mistake, but at least he got chance to clear and take his rack.

True, they have it sometimes I don't know what's the rule but it should be followed in all the formats of the pool.

I don’t mind winner break format if it’s pros against pros. But in opens where there’s amateurs etc I’d prefer alternate or make the break harder by making them break square on

Alek, totally agree. Alternate break offs would be much fairer (as they have in Mosconi Cup matches, by the way). Also, where's the shot clock??

main problem with pool and why it will never get sponsors or tv time... 44:40 ------- 46:15 what a waste of time for 2 shots that should have taken less than 15 seconds each.I miss the 80s and the action. Wtf 53:10----54:10 1 full minute per shot

@@Ironsvillage I use to think snooker players are better but if you think about it, snooker is mostly played on 1/3rd of the table where the black and the reds are, that's not that hard. pool uses all 9 foot of the table. pool players are more skilled.
