I remember seeing Gary playing O’Sullivan years ago and him giving him a very tough game. I could see he was the real deal back then so it’s no surprise he starting winning tournaments

He's actually good to watch when he's playing well, makes it look easy and he's very confident these days. Ebdon was just a slow bore for me 😂

No player has ever made two 147s on the same day in competitive play, and there have been only three instances where two players made a 147 on the same day (but never two who were playing against each other): 24 August 2018, Paul Hunter Classic: Michael Georgiou (#140), Jamie Jones (#141) 8 December 2016, German Masters: Ali Carter (#126), Ross Muir (#127) 15 December 2011, FFB Snooker Open: Matthew Stevens (#82) and Ding Junhui (#83). Ding made yet another Maximum break on the 17th, followed by Jamie Cope on the 18th -- making four Maximum breaks in four days, by three different players.

That was elegant, the fact was with 8 reds left, Gary had no need to cannon anymore. That 13th black ❤ position was millimetre perfect. Giving the choice of either red. In pool you focus on an end pattern but to do it with such style on a snooker table makes this one of my favourite 147s. ❤❤❤

Well, apart from that 1st red where he had a bit of luck with the cannon on the black, the rest was spottless. I didnt see many 147s if any with better positional play. I had a feeling he was always in control and wasnt going to miss ni matter what. Extremely clean 147, well done
