Only been able to watch the beginning of the video so forgive me if this was addressed further, but regarding Alphinaud healing his sister "but no one else," he did say in the cutscene with Conrad that he had done what he could, so presumably he had tried to heal him off screen. The JP lore lead has said that healing magic basically accelerates your body's natural healing - take an injury that would normally take weeks or months to recover from and healing magic can fix it in moments. But while it makes your healing process faster, it doesn't make it stronger - take an injury your body can't heal on its own, like irreparable damage to internal organs, and healing magic is useless. Same applies to diseases that your body can't fight off on its own. This is why, even with healing magic, they still have doctors, surgeons, medicines, and so on.

Stormblood has a lot of amazing moments. I think the reason some people rank it lower than other expansions is mostly due to pacing.

Aha yes Heavenward PTSD. The lightning in the background when Nero shows up is just the weather that is happening in game showing in the scene. It is however appropriate.

there was this moment where i had this stupid happy smile from side to side, when i realized that Lyse and WoL were going to train like in the cinematic. Since i liked Lyse (even though i think that things with her could've been handled better in both heavensward and SB) it was a really satifying moment

Ok try and keep up with me Shinryu was summoned by the Griphon (Ilbred) using the prayers of his followers (whom he murdered) and Nidhogs eyes Omega was then set against it Shinryu was disabled by the fight the Empire picked him up and imprisoned him then Zenos fused with it Zenos DID NOT become a Primal Like Ice Heart did he simply merged with 1 using the Echo.

And that take is what I consider a "bad" take. I think the game just got better and better with every expansion. If Stormblood lacked anything is maybe a bit more epic fantasy flavor (which HW had a lot) but pretty much the rest is a straight up upgrade.

The Lyse hate is so confusing and upsetting. I thought she was fantastic. But glad to see you finish Stormblood! Honestly one of the craziest final bosses with one of the best musical scores! SO memorable. I honestly loved Stormblood, and it makes me sad it's considered 'the bad expansion,' when I think it's anything but. Now on to the post MSQ, and oh man you're in for a ride! I can't wait!
