That was fantastic and so interesting. Are there not church records somewhere as opposed to the military ones lost in Dublin? It was often done via books or even in bibles. Maybe a newspaper article as well? It would have been news of the day. One has asked what I was curious about, if Anne or any family member or a family friend ever visited his gravesite. Could Sam swim? My partner cleans old stones where we live, a more involved process, I would think an attempt to be done even if only a few letters or numbers to appear. One more thing, I live where the British did occupy the US for a few years during the War of 1812, a couple British soldiers are buried here, died of illness. I live a 2-minute walk from the nearly gone remains of a British powder house. I wonder if Sam may have been considered to go to the US at any time. Return to America where his father was injured. Again, great work, so interesting, and I would enjoy donating to honor Sam with a stone.
