Construction areas! Brought back more memories! I rode the Dempster when I was there. Thanks for sharing Pete, well-done!

I was expecting the road conditions to improve once we got into Alaska...nope, lol! Yes, miles and miles and miles and miles of construction!

EXCELLENT! We live outside of Fairbanks and headed down south this week. Road construction in Alaska from Northway to the Border. Roughest stretch is from Northway AK to Destruction Bay Yukon due to permafrost thawing. Favorite eating is Fast Eddies in Tok, Alaska.

Yeah the destruction Bay Area was the absolute worst. The gravel was ok going in when we came back there was at least 4-6” of fresh gravel for miles. It. Was a dust bowl, glad I ride in the sand a lot really helped.

9:30 listening to you talk about the road conditions...did you have any idea at all before you left how rough it was going to be? I will NEVER complain about the road conditions down here in the lower 48, never....I'm working on my Chicken to Dawson City video now...the Top of the World highway was just as bad in my opinion...whew! I also could not keep up with Tommy on his 2 wheels...I was battling my 2 front wheels most of the time because they operate independently of each other. BUT, it sure is beautiful!!

We skipped the Top of the World due to snow. Met a couple of riders that had just came down and they told us it was dangerous due to the conditions. I did not expect the ALCAN to be as bad as it was, and as you know you have to use it both ways. It was worse for us coming back, fresh gravel. The Dalton had its own issues with construction and the weather. I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. I’d like to ride the Dempster Hwy someday, but maybe I’ll do that in my Jeep.

@@Petesmotoadventure ahhh I see. Well we thought we would go to Chicken and Dawson City to hopefully miss the bad parts of the Alcan.... That didn't work out so well😂. We missed my favorite view on the Alcan... Destruction Bay... on the return trip because we were only on the Alcan from Whitehorse to Watson Lake. We then went south on the Cassiar. Yes!! The Jeep sounds like a great idea! 😁 Hope you are both well! 💜🙏🤗

This was one of my favorite sections of the Alcan...Destruction Bay, not the road itself lol...
