Girona is doing to us kinda what we're doing with Atlético Madrid, taking advantage of a situation where one club desperately needs to offload a player to get the best possible deal, that is a free transfer. If we complain because Girona is doing it we're being hypocrites. We're in a terrible financial situation because of Bartomeu and Laporta has only helped a little bit, because he's also given some players huge contracts and he's sold some of the club's assets and made bad signings with that money. Of all the people who have signed i the past 3 years only Lewandowski, Gundogan, Kounde and Christensen have been good (not great) and Kessie and Aubameyang were good business transactions. Marcos Alonso, Íñigo Martínez, Oriol Romeu and Pablo Torre weren't good at all, Adama Traore wasn't good, Cancelo and Felix weren't very good either, Raphinha and Ferrán Torres were not worth over 100M € and now we can't get rid of them and I think we also overpaid for Lewandowski. Because of the bad management of the last two presidents we're now in a dire situation and other clubs take advantage of it.

@@BarcaNews29 Girona is a sister club? Since when? They're our competitors just like the others. Basque clubs like Athletic and Real Sociedad do have some kind of brotherhood with each other. That doesn't happen anywhere else in Spain. It's all rivalries, especially withn the same region.

That's my point, everyone does it when they have the chance except (for the most part) the Basque clubs because they want to build up players from that region and they don't compete at the top level. Everyone else, everywhere in Europe and South America competes both on the pitch and financially. Barça has done it and if and when our financial situation is healthier we'll do it again. Remember, professional football is a business first and foremost.

Like every past transfer window, we start strong with a lot of enthusiasm, selling this player for so much money, and this player and so on, but in the end we just hand them for free to other Clubs. It’s ironic that we are actually believing that we could sell whoever for real money (like Romeu in this case, but the list is endless) Probably FC Barcelona will pay Girona just to take this guy away from the club, and let’s not forget his wages, I’m curious when will we start hearing that he’s on incredibly high salary and no one wants to pay that money. And by the way, I love FC Barcelona, but some of the deals we make are just total failure. Let’s hope for the best, though.

@@BarcaNews29 I totally agree with the part regarding the transfers, no denying it. But my problem is, not with you or other KZbinrs or the media as a whole, it is with either the lack of transparency from the club or the incomplete reporting. Because, once a player it’s not needed anymore by Barcelona or is doing bad, more information about their contract situation start coming out and we find out the real deal. And I agree that the Bartomeu reign was a disaster, but also Laporta’s board did some not so good deals too, but of course the information on that comes out later on, when the things don’t go so well, like in the case of Lewandowski (the ascending contract for a 34 years old at the time of signing him, plus 45€ transfer fee with a year left on his previous contract and signed a contract with Barcelona for 4 years, until he’ll be 38) If we go now on the internet and we look up the wages of all Barcelona players, we’ll find some not so pleasant surprises, of course taking into account that the numbers reported are true.
