Antibodies are only one very narrow band of inflammatory reactions. The ALCAT test "casts a broader net" than just antibody reactions.

The difference also is that IgG testing only can check for foods a person has consumed. If you ask someone who has consumed tomato and has a IgG response to tomato, but has not consumed squash, and if you ask them to consume squash, you would have to repeat the IgG test for squash. IgG testing only is sensitive and specific for foods that you have consumed in the past 2 weeks. While I agree with you that the two tests are not the same, there are some inherent problems with IgG serum testing.

Dear Dr. The antibody reaction are for humoral mediated immunity to foods. But some food stuff induce cellular immunity.

I spend 1000 dollars just to find out I was intolerant to squash . this was true and I already knew it. but I'm very upset because it say I can eat beef, rice, ECT and I get sick when I eat those things as I speak! I will not recommend to take this. it is a total waste of money. do not listen to this KZbinrs bloggers . pls pls take something less expensive before consider even taking this.
