Very nice review and comparison of this flip phone. I have the Alcatel My Flip 2 and I can't find a newer flip with Google's Assistant as it is with the My Flip 2. Thanks again and keep 'em coming. Liked & subscribed.

I read it from two sources, which are reddit and timesofindi. It seems Google abandoned KaiOS above version 2.5.4. I was going to get a Nokia 2780, I still want to, but Google Assistant and WhatsApp are not available, they are not even available on the Nokia 2760. I wanted to have a 5-megapixel camera and a usb type c to go minimalist, but your Alcatel My Flip 2 might be the best choice if people want to do hands free to send messages and do searches. You did the right thing, 2Mpx vs 5Mpx isn't much of a difference, if you need to take pictures, I guess you could always add a good pocket camera to your EDC. Take care.

Hello, has this phone notification on external display (missed calls, recieved sms, low battery)? And if he has, is there some button for press and show external display on? Or is external dispaly ,,on,, only if you open the phone?

The TCL flip “pro” is the copy NOT the go I believe. I realized after getting the “go” the go is basic and does NOTHING 🥺

Hey Ian, Are incoming calls logged in the call history? My aunt is blind. On her old phone, usually if someone recently called her she could press the green answer button twice and it would call the most recent person she spoke too. I’m wondering if this phone logs both incoming and outgoing calls in the phone call history? And can you simply use the green answrer button to call them back quickly?

I have the go flip 4, and pressing the green answer button pulls up the call history. Then pressing it again does dial the most recent entry. So if you want to recall someone you just called, it will do it. If you want to call a person you missed, it'll do it. So I think it'd be gtg for your aunt.

After a little over a year of use, my phone is going bad. The screen messes up. Sometimes, it gets pixelated, sometimes it goes white. Sometimes it goes black, and I have to restart the phone. And other times, the main display cover changes to different colors and gets blurry and the icons get enlarged. And sometimes, the phone works normally but no longer consistently. And my camera doesn't work anymore (the first sign that the phone was going bad). Any tips on how I can fix my Alcatel Go Flip 4?

Seems to be a flex problem, the connection ribbon to the screen went bad!

@@mistercool3859 i recommend Nokia 2780 you can format a 126 gig sd card to fat32 and then put gigabytes of music on it

I can't view MMS messages when I receive them on my Alcatel Go Flip 4 phone, when I try to download the MMS the download fails. I checked the MMS auto retrieve settings (ON), and I'm on a T-Mobile pay-as-you-go $10 a month (1GB data plan (use very little of that)). Anyone know what could be the problem?
