It was definitely part of the act, Swedish humour/playing with expectations that what everyone was expecting to see was an appearance by ABBA. I think that joke fell slightly flat given Alcazar’s performance was fantastic and their live song was a total bop but it was cut short for a promo clip from ABBA Voyage and an underproduced and comparatively underwhelming karaoke version of Waterloo that didn’t really do justice to ABBA’s original.

@@SuperSagittaria Thanks. I am sure I have seen a concert clip where Alcazar kept this song going for over five minutes ........ and it still wasn't long enough for me 🙂 p.s. In the U.K. this song became a lockdown anthem in 2020 when Sophie Ellis-Bextor did a 3 minute 50 second, cover version to try and cheer people up during lockdown.
