Filter Table is amazing and very flexible. From more regular morphing filters to meticulous physical modeling, it can do a lot. I even made beautiful arpeggios with it. It's one of the default sine wavetables that allows it, I'll edit the comment later with the specific name of that wavetable. *Edit:* _Factory > Sines > _*_Sync Smooth Sine._* Keytrack the cutoff of Filter Table and modulate the wavetable position for the arpeggio. I like the sound of phase mode set to original for this and boosting the resonance a bit. Depending on the speed and shape of the modulation, you can get really nice in-between of smooth and stepped transition, making some pretty and lush arpeggios. I especially like it with Filter Table positioned in an effects lane that has polyphony enabled. If I'm using LFO for the WT modulation, I might randomize the phase of that LFO per voice, or randomize WT frame of the LFO Table per voice. And run it through some nice reverb. SO lush!

Cool review man. Jumped on PhasePlant a few month ago. It is a black hole really...endless possibilities. Also what FilterTable brings is just absolutely fenomenal and relatively easy to use.

Thank you for doing this! Your style of sound design makes me appreciate this plug-in so much. I was struggling to realize how useful it could be based on the kilohearts introductory video.

Thank you! Love breaking sounds
@adsm6464Ай бұрын
Yeah Kilohearts are definitely one of the few developers not just releasing the same idea in a different skin. It is noted and appreciated. Kinda crazy how powerful the whole ecosystem is at this point. And the fact all the snap-ins are also vst effects, just ridiculous really.

Had to come back to this video after buying this addon to watch your breakdown of how to use harmonics to make different filter types. Great video.

Also worth trying EXP-DSP Filtertable if you wanna get really in depth, solid little module though
@HovssАй бұрын
im trying that out rn

It's is a QOL plug-in. It utilizes everything you could already do through more modulation and makes it in one simple drop into your SnapHeap or Phase Plant. It erases a lot of time off of a project.

This seems like it would have a ton of potential in physical modeling. I wonder if we'll start seeing this in Lydoel's incredible instruments.

Great vid! I def picked it up and feel like it was worth the money, it just makes the filtering so fast and I don't need to modulate like 30 things. Also you could prolly use a little more de-essing on your voiceover it's a little harsh here. Thanks man!

Hi man , i wanted to know . Are u going to make a new comprehensive guide for neuro bass , with all that new tools (shaper table , filter table ect). I thank you in advance for your response
@AlckemyАй бұрын
Yep. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet though as my theme for the next stuff has been about functionality

Can yall add a snap to scale mode? Especially if you can support Oddsound MTS ESP.

You can request it in their discord, Im' not an employee for them lol

Sounds different to me.

@@Alckemy i mean you played a neuro, then a sort of ravey synth stab then a square wavey sounding type bass. Nothing that stuck out as being new or impossible to create with a different technique.

it's crazy they even made a whole wavetable editor for a little snapin like that. khs is evolving

There are some VERY cool sounds going on here, but the amount of Reese-like bass patches for PhasePlant is too damned high. Phase Plant is incredibly versatile but it seems people gravitate towards this mashed bass sound way too much!
