A9104 & A9111 on heavy freight to Tripoli Greece the first alco was overheated so the other engine did all the work

Ο ήχος της κόρνας στην αρχή του βίντεο με ανατρίχιασε και με συγκίνησε ταυτόχρονα... Με πήγε πίσω στο γυμνάσιο, όπου τακτική η ALCO στις 0940 κατέφθανε στα Μέγαρα... Λίγο αργότερα ακολουθούσε το γρύλισμα, συνοδευόμενο από το σφύριγμα της τουρμπίνας... Βλέπω και ξαναβλέπω το βίντεο...! Συγχαρητήρια!!!

@adtranz481 Η Μπροστινη ειχε παθει υπερθερμανση ηδη απο τον Ισσαρη και ισα ισα την δουλευαν στην 2η σκαλα κι αυτο μονο στις ανηφοριες. Για αυτο εχει ολα τα καπακια ανοιγμενα. Στην ουσια η πισω εβγαλε ολη τη δουλεια κι εκανε Τριπολη-Καλαματα 11 ωρες.

For to avoid slipping,the engineer put on and off the throttle,,,(throttle 8 of course)and when thr engine lows in rpm, the charger lows in rpm too,and when applis throttle,a lot of fuel goes to the cylinders chamber,,but the charger don "t run at the correct rpm,,and the ignition is bad,the ignition finishes outside,with visible flames,when the charger runs at adequate rpm,a lot of air flows to the cylinders chamber, more speed ignition ,and flames attenuate a lot, or no flames visible..

It's a fantastic shot, that remains in memory. Only looking at the first loco and it's smoke (f. e. 2:37), it seemed that it actually was working. If under same load, as the second "flamethrower", I don't know, probably not, but surly it wasn't only idling.

the engineer may open all the doors of the working Alco,as the first,,inside of the enclosure,the temp is high,more than 50 degrees.

Amazing alcos and in the video Alco 250d engine is used but in India its used only for shunting and Metter Guage

In the other video,i comment about the flames,,and the causes of them but the Alco sounds good,all the cyliners work.But. much load!!!

Sorry but this line and all other meter gage lines are closed officially at 2011. There where some trains moving for excursion purposes till 2014 and since then nothing ...

Wow,,,,logic,,,a lot os wagons,,,but the second Alco,may burn the exhaust valves with these flames,,,the engineer may have the throttle constant,,,not up and down,but may have his reasons,,,the train arrived to his destiny??

i heard the turbo at high rpm, the turbo blades support highs temp as airplane turbines. i dont remember the steel were made.

por que??el motor esta sobreexigido,y el turbocompresor a bajos regimenes no trabaja,la consecuencia es que hay mucho combustible el las camaras de combustion,pero falta el aire necesario parea tener una combustion eficiente,esta no se logra, y parte de la combustion termina fuera del motor. pero cuando el turbo sopla la cantidad correcta de aire,las llamas son mucho menores y el motor trabaja mejor. Reemplazando el turbo por uno mas moderno este problema se atenua considerablemente.
