I wish TDOT would fix their existing highways instead of building new ones. Wouldn't that be a better utilization of resources?

That how we got an Atlanta traffic disaster. They should have built new roads. Instead they put everything into widening old roads. Thus now one wreck blocks 12 lanes instead of 2.

@@bruceami What you are saying is the opposite of my point; I wish TDOT would stop expanding and building roads and instead focus on maintenance.

@@elijaha773 The point is that because they have built so many new roads NC does not have the traffic problems like GA and other states where they only maintain and widen existing roads. Multiple routes ease traffic. Increasing lanes only stuffs more congestion in one corridor. As far as maintenance, NC seems to me to maintain roads better than most any state I know. I travel NC from east to west and road condition is mostly impressive. If you don’t think so try a northern or midwest state.

Hello Gareth, it was a mix of Bentley software products. We created the existing with ContextCapture, modeled the proposed design in InRoads, then used LumenRT to add finishing touches on materials, traffic, and environment as well as create the camera path.
