My alcohol ink and tree painting year.
A little video about my art journey in 2021.
Painted a lot of alcohol ink pieces and a decent amount of trees.
Last year was a weird one.... Covid once again made everything different for everyone... Also for us artist.
Not easy getting out there and show people our art - in real life.
For me, the big art shows got cancelled - only did 2 small art fairs....
But luckily I sold pretty well.
On the plus side - dispite Covid and lockdowns, people still wanted to by art. So I ended up doing pretty well in 2021.
My alcohol ink workshops didn't happen until the end of the year - I'm hoping to do more classes this year. I actually have a waiting list for my workshops, so fingers crossed for less restrictions this year.
Spend a lot of time last year right here on KZbin. Making a lot of tutorials for you guys.
It is a lot of work and very time consuming making these videos but I am enjoying every minute of it.
So if you still want to watch my videos... I'll keep making them.
Been thinking if I should start doing tutorials with other creative things - beside the alcohol ink videos.... What do you think?

Randi you asked for what we would like to see next All through your video I kept thinking how about loose abstract atmospheric trees in mixed media Media being acrylic ink in sepia or antelope for trunks and branches blown perhaps with a straw and the leaves/ blossoms and buds in alcohol ink vs tight acrylic detail Yes please more tutorials Love your positive creative spirit and addictions lol

That’s a good idea for a video- prizing is one of the most difficult things to do… I might have some tips on that. Might do something with “filming for KZbin”. It’s definitely time consuming. I’ll put it on my list. I’ve been busy lately with fairs and exhibitions so haven’t made many tutorials lately….. 💕

I would like to see how to get metallics to flow. I’ve tried both 91% isopropyl alcohol and blending solution with out any luck. They just blob. Could I also suggest Zoom conference classes with a small limited group? That way everyone in the “class” can see what each other participant is doing and you can help individuals and we can learn that way too.

I’m having trouble with metallic inks. I’ve tried 91% isopropyl alcohol and also tried blending solution and it just stays a blob and doesn’t flow anywhere. Could I suggest that for classes you do ZOOM conference and limit the size of classes to a small group? That way you can see what other class members are doing and help instruct as if they were there with you.
