Alcohol Ink and Plumbers tape

I just got home from running to 5 different stores until I found this tape. Cant wait to try it, it looks great.

Sorry about the confusion about the tape, I am from the uk but purchased this tape from Home Depot in the USA. I thought it was called plumbers tape as it was in the plumbing aisle. Thanks for the replies which clarify it

Very pretty finished card. I've been cutting flowers out of aluminum cans and using the inks and it is so pretty. They emboss really easily too. The cans are very cheap too since I have a neighbor that drinks Coke all day and she saves me her cans. lol

according to Tim Holtz, you take one drop of each color and put it on the felt pad. thats all you need. My hubby is a plumber and I have loads of this tape.. tfs.

Debrina, there are lots of punches that you could use to punch out flowers, if you don't have a cuttlebug or big shot to use embossing folders, you can apply the inks to the plain punched out flowers - or you could even freehand cut some flower shapes. I hope this helps

I just turned up the volume and I could hear perfect but she cut it with the cricut shape george. very pretty.

Very nice!!! Although you would use less ink and have to worry less about the "muddiness" if you put the ink on the felt and then pounced. Beautiful though, any way. TFS

I normally put the ink on the felt (3 or 4 small blobs) and add blender solution. Then pounce onto my artwork.

mines plumbers tape.....out of hubbys store room will have a go tomorrow ty for sharing this is easier than using foil as it is already sticky...I did a clip using this to cover a tin pls have a look xxx

It's called Foil Tape. You use it on the duct work from a furnace. Good idea though.

That's not plumbers tape, that tape is used for duct work.

such a waste of alcohol ink. use small drops on the felt instead and use 1/4 of the ink and get the same affect.

So .... what do you do if you don't have this special cutter to cut out the flower shapes, or the - what did you say? - cuddle something ? ... anyway, the embosser thing to emboss the petals after the flowers are cut ... what then? I don't have either of those things .... Can this project be done w/o those ?

I am confused about the plumber's tape. In the US, it's a very thin "teflon" type tape. We also have a duct tape, but from the video, this looks much shinier than our duct tape. There also is a foil tape. Can you be more specific as to the manufacturer and type of tape?

+Sandra Gibbs This is NOT PLUMBERS TAPE. it is used to tape flashing. I have some and I know no plumbing which would use this, plumbers tape is white stuff you put around joints to seal them, like when putting on a shower head.

I've been making my own alcohol inks at home using different colored sharpie pens& 70% alcohol. Does anyone know how long I am supposed to leave the sharpies/alcohol before I am to strain them?
