When I taught in public school, my kids LOVED blowing on paint through a straw. They were so amazed when they achieved really dramatic "trees" by using thin white paint on black construction paper. Thanks Andrea. I tried a few different method for mounting and found that a tiny dot of glossy accents in each corner was the least visible. If you have a Cropodile, you can also punch holes in each corner and attach eyelets.

Beautiful! I was looking for a simple way to achieve a stained glass effect. I wanted it to literally look like detailed brightly colored stained glass windows behind an abstract Saint drawn w minimal black lines. I wonder if I can take dimensional medium (Nuvo pearls, enamel effects, glossy accents, etc) and outlined a frame w panels. Should I outline ON the acetate... let dry that blow ink? Should I outline on the paper, canvas... then cut inked acetate to fit?
@NinaRibenaMixedMedia4 жыл бұрын
I personally would outline on the acetate as 3D pearls do have a tendency to flatten 💕

First of all, WOW that's awesome! I do have some questions though, can you cut the acetate with a die cutting machine like a Cuttlebug or a BigKick? Can do that technique on the other surfaces like glass or metal? Where do I get the acetate from? Thank you so much.
@NinaRibenaMixedMedia7 жыл бұрын
+Amanda Bennett Thanks Amanda. Acetate can be tricky to cut with a die cutting machine, and I have not had much success. I buy my acetate from a stationery suppliers such as Staples. You could also try Amazon. This technique works on any non porous surface.
