OHHHH I Love ... Love... Love this video/tutorial... I watched this 4 months ago (see comment below)... at that time I was seriously considering going back on the road with my art... I paint silk scarves... but when I go to these weekend warriors like Art Shows... I know I need diversity.... and so one of my loves is painting on tiles... and I remembered this video... and I love the way you EXPLAIN that it takes practice... and that using two totally different tools can make an unique flower.... I asked God for a "Sign" about going out on the road again and You are the "Sign" ... (God-send). Thank you so much for taking the time to make these BEAUTIFUL tutorials.

I'm always amazed at the ingenuity of the artists who find new techniques. To me, your technique gives so much more precision to flowers than the blobby circles that alcohol inks can produce. I like everything about this video except the blue and the black colors. They remind me of dying weeds. However I really appreciate the different strategies of different techniques with dropping ink and alcohol onto the paper and I like how you clearly explain what you doing and why are you doing it. I have used similar strategies on ceramic tiles for coasters where it also works very well.

I love alcohol inks. You can't control them much but somehow they turn beautiful. It is practice on letting go and that is hard for artists. We have to control everything. These are so good.

For a year now I have wanted to obtain some alcohol inks finally I have all of the Ranger colors and an air brush...….Now to find a "Phat Straw"...…..LOL! You are most instructive, Laying down your color then slowly picking out each petal make all the sense in the world...….I'll be watching for more of your vids!❤

I found the Phat Straws in the supermarket, Shoprite in this case. They are in the paper plate, etc. section. They are designed to be used with smoothies. Dirt cheap, like $1.29 for 100 straws.

WARNING... Since the last time I saw this (wonderful, Beautiful) video I got real sick.... Come to find out, it was because I was using a SPRAY Bottle with Alcohol... I was told after that only to use a dropper with the alcohol... I am a firm believer now... DO NOT USE A SPRAY BOTTLE WITH ALCOHOL I LOVE this video, Thank you for sharing this video

Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Yes I only use the small spray bottle for maybe a total of 4 squirts at the beginning and end. I used a dropper 99% of the time.

You can hear alcohol inkers open window and fan running. Good ventilation is paramount to safe alcohol artistry. If you have an respiratory or circulatory issue you should exercise caution. Being buzzed is your body’s warning system. Alcohol will not harm you in well ventilated circumstances

Just found your video and I really enjoyed it. I've been trying to get a nice flower and have used a hairdryer, a straw, canned air, my breath, and an air brush with a compressor that has no regulator. So I really need to get a small one like yours. I hear Masters is good. Anyway thanks for sharing your talent on KZbin.

Christina Brown Thank you. I keep left over 91% & 99% alcohol in the boiler bottle for random use such as bubbles or diluting ink. It has a tint of ink cuz I accidentally dipped a brush in it 😆

Have you tried a broader spray setting on your airbrush. Some models have broad spray head attachments too
