no surprise in finding furfural and aldehydes in the malted whiskeys. Not sure what is the temperature when malting, but these are products of the xylose and xylooligosaccharide thermal decomposition reactions. Cool video! Appreciate the safety concerns when being arround alcohols :D

Really good video. When you feed Benzaldehyde to Yeast instead of Sugar you get L-1-Phenyl propanol 1-one-2. So I'm not surprised with the results. Lucky everything over 20% Vol is coffin polish for me😅 Thanks for sharing and cheers folks ✌️
