Dear Dave, Thank you for having me on your show. I can't believe I was going to ask you to take the interview down because I was convinced I'd get awful comments! (My head told me that! See!!) It's been amazing the response I have received from so many people! I'm truly touched deeply! I just cried over and over as I read the comments. Thank you all so much for your kindness and for letting me join this tribe of wonderful humans, all with faults but all with big hearts and healing brains!! Love to you all xxx

Besides the Carnivore content, this is some of the best counseling I have ever heard. It almost seems unfair that Vivian can be so remarkable despite the abuse she has done to herself. Here I am listening to Vivian and thinking what a good counselor she is for what she says and how she says it. Then she goes and describes Dave as being such a good counselor for her because of the way he listens. I watched this video beginning to end because of the other comments. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you for saying that, Ive been told over the years that I should have become a counselor and I did go to college to become one as it was my love, but I saw at college just how much they were treating it as a business so never went back after the first course. I always wanted to do it for free as I felt it would have more meaning and in AA, and going thru the 12 steps, I learned even more about how we must change ourselves, but kindly and lovingly. So hopefully, I have done just a little bit of good in the world. I hate the thought of anyone suffering emotionally because we didnt understand ourselves and where the pain was coming from. So thanks for your lovely words Douglas xx

You have made me cry tonight, made me say to myself, ok, come on it’s time to get on and do this, no more sticking with the alcohol and the sugar, no more sitting on the sidelines watching and just dabbling here and there. Walk on. All shall be well and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well. Thank you for your testimony, thank you for being here. @ I think starting might be the biggest hurdle, as the further down the path you go, the easier it gets as your body tells you what it needs, rather than the nonsense it wants, because it no longer wants it. Jumping all in is the answer for a greatly improved future.

Yes, that's what impresses me with him too. His deep listening and empathy are visible and palpable in spades. It always impresses me enormously because most men don't want to listen even to 3 sentences and sometimes not even half a sentence. His listening skills are extraordinary and so gorgeous. HIs truth telling with his past alcoholism and limp etc. are very beautiful too. His ego is in check and his caring nature is so incredible. And what I like about you is how it's about the interviewee getting their story out. Other people, it's about them teaching and presenting, which definately has it's place. Yours is more like a documentary with personal stories which is SO powerful in building belief in newbies on how it really works for different problems with a wide variety of people. You are a true GEM and you build my belief that there ARE men in this world like you. I bet you are an incredible husband and father! You'd make a good friend too, and most people these days are too obsessed with survival and material things, and self-pleasuring and distraction, and self-centered and dysfunctional and don't know how to make friends anymore, so I stay clear. But if I ever met someone like you,I would offer friendship,, and that's saying something.

Powerful, my past is a lot like yours was. I have lost all my siblings at young age, to many alcohol parties. Stopped Smoking and alcohol but I started to eat more grains and sugar and then started having pain and wheezed the doc said, its what you did in your past. After finding Keto, then Carnivore I am really having a hard time kicking sugar, its the most addictive thing on earth. I understand your life completely. You hang in there, cleaning the body takes time. After over a year its getting better. I found an hour or more walk a day really helps, clears the brain for the day.

This woman is a high level genius empath. The thing with abused children is they are given a gift of insight. Beyond. I sobered up for seven years. I screamed my tits off about Covid until I lost everyone. I ended up hiking 9000miles alone. Because there was nowhere safe that didn’t hurt. I broke my sobriety just to cope with the horror of humanity full well knowing I was destroying my own dignity once more. But where do the geniuses go when the world is a shit show of violence and stupidity. Fight flight freeze or freedom. When you aim for freedom you have to let go of everything and there is no safety that’s do or die. I fight every day for my freedom once more and that is the paradox and the ultimate in cognitive dissonance. True freedom comes from total absolute pure unconditional love. I would love to give this human a hug x

Vivien said it so well...people can relate better with other people's stories much better and are more motivated by them than any doctor, scientist or nutritionist that speak way above their own level of understanding. And Dave does the absolute very best at bringing those people to us here on this platform! Dave you are a great gift to those that have eyes to see and ears to hear! Thank you!

"It's literally wine and food, junk, sugar and rubbish..." Vivien is right, our world today is so wrong and information so skewed that I feel everyone is sick and don't know it. We were led away from our primitive ways by lies, with salesmen basically. Carnivore is saving lives by going against the grain. This is proving to be a difficult job to help people "see" what our food & medical system is doing to us. Fortunately, it's people like Vivien and others, helping to spread their good fortune in "seeing" the new information available to us, and jumping in to find health & happiness. Find ways to help others to "see." Thanks Dave and Vivien❣

Hello Vivien, It’s 2am and when I can’t sleep I listen to Dave’s videos. I believe my Higher Power made me click on your story. From the child abuse, through the addiction years and now with carnivore I can relate to it all. I’m 64 and grew up in 1960’s Britan when food was scarce (particularly meat) and children were to be seen and not heard. Well done you for telling your story. I told mine with Dave approximately a year ago and have benefited from being in contact with likeminded people ever since. Xx

It takes profound courage to share stories of transformation-especially when they challenge mainstream narratives about healing. Your honesty about mental clarity, and how you’ve navigated sugar addiction through this lifestyle, deeply resonates with my work as an addiction counselor. So many struggle with the same biochemical hooks in processed foods, and seeing you advocate for alternatives with such compassion (while spotlighting Dave Mac’s community-building) feels like a lifeline. What moves me most is how you honor your truth without gatekeeping-a rare balance in health spaces. As someone who witnesses daily how shame corrodes recovery, your approach plants seeds of hope: ‘Healing isn’t about perfection, but showing up authentically.’ Thank you for modeling that here.

Such a brilliant chair ;) I identify so much with your story. At the end of my drinking, i was on a bottle a day, and you struggle with giving up the sugar. I gave the drink up 35 years ago but still slip and slid with the sugar. You also mentioned a place near where i used to live, Goodwood. I hope i can get this, currently ketovore, nearly there. Also, I'm 67 in March, so same age. Thanks for a great share. It was brilliant.

It's as if preservatives are the unseen actors in the background, and sugar is the more "obvious" evil. However, the fact that so many processed foods are loaded with chemicals to extend their shelf life without much thought is fairly crazy.

i know about the self loathing and obsession with how you look Vivien , I've struggled my whole life with that. When I got fat from all the pills doctors had me on, I wouldn't go out because I was so self conscious. I weaned myself off of all the pills and eventually lost most of the weight, but I was still not healthy, physically, mentally or emotionally. Even after being on Carnivore for a year, I still self isolate, despite being lonely. The abuse I've sustained over the years leads me to avoid people. But I am more calm in my spirit most days. I still have some bad days. I take HRT's and I can tell you that whether your estrogen is rising or falling the symptoms are the same. So if you are having hot flashes, it may be just an indication that your estradiol is fluctuating. Your hormones will constantly change as you lose fat. I will fat fast on certain days when I just can't eat, but know that I need fat for healing. I eat a lot of butter on those days, and I always feel much better the next day and will lose some fat off of my body in the process. I guess I'm an intuitive eater. TY Vivien, for your testimony, and just know that many of us have very similar trauma's to yours. You are not alone in this struggle. We are more than conquerors.
