Cast iron cleaning: I dry bush out the leftover food, scrap out any bits on the sides, then paper towel wipe any remaining debris. Then retreat the cast iron with a non flavored oil and one more paper towel to remove any excess oil. This is a great way to get more iron into your diet and the food tastes better.😊

I rinse my cast iron pan in hot water and use a non abrasive scrubber, dry completely then oil and bake at 450 for 1 hour. Thanks for the video Amy!❤

Hey Amy❤ No soap on cast iron, oil with vegetable oil. Rub into skillet, never put in the dishwasher.

Thanks Amy! 🎉 cast iron I wipe out remaining food, use a steel mesh to scrub remaining food. Wipe out really well, oil, let sit and wipe out excess. 😊 I have the spinach artichoke dip in my fridge but haven’t tried yet. Lost my taste to covid a week ago but on the mend. I’ve been sick all school year. Teacher life! I have the storage container set. I like it, but it is not leak proof. I buy the tortilla chips. You are amazing! ❤

I went and bought a set of the under the bed storage. Not real big but decent size. I got two of the hyacinth in a bottle almost ready to bloom one white for my oldest daughter and pink for my youngest daughter. I clean out my cast iron but wiping out good. If something is stubborn I use some salt to break it up or I’d wash it, dry it, oil it down really well. Mom would put on the stove for a bit to get it really hot but our stove is glass top. Cast iron goes into the oven or out on the gas burner part of the grill.

Since back in the early fifties my grandmother would absolutely have a fit if we used any soap on cast iron it was always rinse with hot water and that was it that was absolutely it but she did have a gas stove and we put them in the oven to dry

I too have a glass top stove, and several cast iron skillets and pots. I use my cast iron on my stove top. Never had any issues. I was told not to slide or scoot the cast iron across it because it would scratch the glass. But otherwise you should be just fine using your cast iron on your cook top. Hope this helps!

I have a glass top stove and do use my cast iron on it. Just be careful not to scratch the glass. I find I use my cast iron in the over mostly for pizza!!! I have mini ones I make single pizzas in or single cookies, etc. come to the other side. 😄

I learned a new way to clean my cast iron. Pink Himalayan salt with a unsoaped metal brush and the dry in the oven with oil.
