Aldi in Ireland were selling their own brand of like either hoola hoops or hunky dorys in a multipack, and someone bought one and when they opened the big packet all the little packets inside were the more expensive brand ones.. turns out both the expensive brand and the aldi own brand of whatever crisps it was are made in the same factory.. a lot of their own brand stuff is probably made in the same factory as branded stuff

Loved the idea behind the video. I think you played the game really well! The sourdough pizza and the luxury coleslaw from Aldi is like the best combination ever. I prefer getting my pizza from Aldi over a Chicago town or Goodfellas. I even sometimes prefer an Aldi pizza over a takeaway one.

I would have liked it if you had chosen your favorite rather than which brand you thought each was. This was especially true when you couldn't tell them apart or had no preference - guessing the brand just muddies the waters. Other than that, great video. Fun fact! To tell apart Ben and Jerry's from other ice creams they are chunkier (even the cream. It's not as smooth). It's because one of them can't taste anything so they make it have good texture.

I've been shopping in Aldi for well over 2 years now. On the whole, their products are just as good and in some cases, much better than the established brands. I think people just expect certain products to taste a certain way, and when the taste is a little bit off what they are expecting, they tell themselves that the Aldi version isn't as good, or that they don't like it. Although, i do agree about Coke.

This is awesome. Well tested. You should do a chemical vs none taste test. McCain is a good example. They do one style which is potato and sunflower oil then another which have loads of chemicals in them.
