I've been shopping in Lidl pretty much my whole life (my mum had a habit of dragging me around after school because she's always loved the place!) and to this day we only ever buy the Lidl version of magnums. The price is a bonus but the real winner is simply the taste... they are just insanely creamy and the chocolate is such good quality! Lidl really demonstrate how we often pay for the brand - food actually doesn't cost very much to produce. I've got friends who snub them purely because the don't like the atmosphere of the stores or the 'type' of people who shop there (*eyeroll*). I was also really interested to see your reaction to the cheeses because the Lidl mature cheddar creamy is the BEST CHEESE EVER IMHO!! Cracked me up about the cows udder vibe lol - like you I will only have plant milk in my tea or cereal so I think we are on a wavelength there haha. Am with you on the Heinz!!!!

I just stumbled across this video and really enjoyed it. I always shop at Lidl and think it's amazing value. @@Sopherina Hahah okay nice. We don't eat meats often either, but it is good from Lidl. The freezer part of the store is nice, with the to-fry-stuff, salmon with a kind of breading and herbsauce in between and the desserts... those things are nice. I don't know if our Lidl stores are the same, but they often have a theme here in part of the store, like: spanish things (churros, fried squid rings, potato tortillas, paëlla) or Japanese things (ingredients for sushi, Japanese snacks). I like that a lot. Also... they have all these things like clothes and camping stuff and kitchen tools and electronics..... everything you can imagine they could have, but every week different stuff. Anyways😊 have a great weekend guys! Love xxx

The prices are cheaper because Lidl is larger they buy bigger quantities. They buy for 9000 stores at once, while a small chain like Sainsbury's only has a few 100 stores. And because Lidl buys at much larger quantities, they also demand a higher quality from their suppliers. So usually the quality at Lidl is higher than at Sainsbury's. Also remember that the rules in Germany are stricter for chemical additives etc, so they are less harmful to you!

Aldi is actually on the same street as me. Asda isn't much far from my house either. Iceland is even further from Asda. Morrisons is in my town however it's really far from my house. Lidl is just in another town that is close to my town. I visit there at work. I've only been to Tesco's once or twice. It isn't even in my borough. I've never been to Sainsbury's or Waitrose at all.
