ALDI all day!!! Rachel - try their mini peanut butter cups (Choceur). They come in a bag, will be found in Aldi's candy section. Better than Reeses, AND there are no wrappers!!!!!

It all comes down to what product you are buying. There are Aldi brand products I don’t like and Walmart products I don’t like. You have to decide if you want to go to each store for your favorites or settle for a few items, that you like less, and go to just one store. Aldi is the only store where I can find chocolate chip brioche bread, so I’m going there anyways, but the fact is I just can’t get everything I want at Aldi. Admittedly, there are a few things where I am a brand snob.😀. Thank you Rachel.

Food is something I'm more than willing to spend the extra$$...the long term health repercussions of eating processed food/sugar will cost you far more later in life...eat healthy....not cheap.

We prefer Meijer. The produce is far superior to Walmart. The few times we shopped at Walmart the expiration dates were that week, and the customer service was questionable.

Pretty sure Aldi has a store brand version of Oreos that's significantly cheaper than the name brand. While those are nice, what I like doing is buying Aldi's store-brand fudge stripe cookies, peanut butter, and make cookie sandwiches out of them that I keep in the freezer. Great way to make the cookies last longer, since it makes them roughly 6 times as filling as the cookies alone, plus it adds some protein. As for trail mix, I find it's a better value to just make your own. Sure, you spend more up front because you're mixing entire packages of ingredients, but it makes so much and lasts so long, I find it costs less per serving and lasts far longer than buying the same amount of the ready-made stuff. Plus, you can control what goes in it, which is always a plus. My go-to mix is dried pineapple, raisins, craisins, peanuts, and either chocolate chips or something in the M&Ms/Sixlets family.

Winco is where we shop in the DFW area now. Their store brand products are good too. I really love their chapstick. You get 2 for under $2 and they have a lot of varieties including a Burts Bees dupe and a carmex one I love. When we 1st started shopping there, soon after they opened, my grocery budget was cut almost in half. We love their bulk bins and bulk snacks too.

Love Walmart and Aldi. Those are my go to stores. I only go to Kroger or Meijer for really good sales or specialty items that aren't sold at the other two.

I was told in Walmart when I was shopping last week they no longer do price matching. Not sure if it’s just my store in Ohio but may be something to look into nationwide to get a for sure answer. We love shopping aldi and the sales add at Kroger to be able to afford organic/gluten free eating

I will say... nuts are not all created equal. I buy almonds from Walmart because Aldi almonds seem soft and stale. But if I just buy a tin of cocktail peanuts, the Aldi ones seem fresher than Walmart. Weird.

This has been a huge family conversation with our adult kids. For snack foods we buy tortilla chips, bars of chocolate and cheeses from Aldi's. Otherwise, we agree it's a hit and miss with their produce at our location. I have to say that I'm surprised this is even a topic on your channel...I think your mom may have been onto something. Processed food = processed health. By no means are we purists or even health nuts, but snacks are saved for special occasions
