Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is not turning on no matter what I try. I've tried holding down the power button for it to turn on; nothing. I've tried charging it; nothing. The thing is, before, when the Surface was actually on and I was sure I had it completely plugged in, it would say it wasn't charging. My Surface is fairly new, and I have been using the charger that came with it, but still nothing. Has anyone had the same, and/or similar experiences with theirs? Any tips or suggestions?

It just happened to me yesterday, Surface Pro 8 doesn't turn on. It might be related to what you said, the battery, but how can we be sure it is that? I'm trying several of these tricks but nothing seems to work. Looks like a hardware issue to me.

Same here. It just happened with no sign. But I managed to turn it on after I press and hold the power button till the logo appears. Hope it helps you.

OMG i tried this in the afternoon, it didn’t work. charged it for 20 minutes, tried it again and it didn’t still work. i got angry (since i have my last exam in 2 days) and decided to sleep off. already went to talk to a repair guy and when i came back i just randomly tried it again and it worked! On my surface pro 2 it is actually the volume button down and power button that worked. All accessories removed, even the docking station.
