Operation Sealion in Hungarian would be Oroszlánfóka hadművelet I believe. Oroszlánfóka meaning Sealion and you can guess, hadművelet means operation. Hungary became so much more fun to play now btw. We really have options now to play around with.

The reason why you can get palestine is because in between franz joseph's extensive titled was "king of jerusalem" due to him inheriting it through some marriage shenanigans Edit: naples claimed title of king of jerusalem and later spain did aswell. The duchy of lorraine also claimed it. And they later married into the habsburg family and thus led to franz joseph inheriting the title

Operation Sea lion can be translated as Oroszlánfóka (which means sea lion) hadművelet. Hungary has always been a cavalry nation, thanks to their shooting backward while riding forward cavalry tactics from 800-900 AD. Huszár has always been the main component of the army, the most famous being the Black Army under Matthias Corvinus. By the way, that horse sound almost sounded like it was from Empire Earth :D

I saw a guide with the monarchy thing. If you build level 6 forts in budapest u can basically hold then can do some shenanigans with forming the habsburg faction disbanding it and forming a new one with poland. Can end up with conquering all of the balkans by 1938

Certain youtubers dont know about the shared focus tree when doing a Habsburg run, their brains then complain that they can't integrate their puppets..when theres a literal decision after doing the last shared focus..

A small thing i noticed during my playthrough as Hungary on the Austria-Hungary path is that you don't have to do the promise of peace. You can refuse and when these 3 countries invade you,they won't take any part of your land or factories that you have.

Hungarians actually did WW2's last cavalry charge. Also Germans were baffled when a Hungarian Cavalry charge with Sabres defeatet Soviet Troops which the Germans shelled and shot for weeks without result

Diplomatic pressure is super helpful when bringing puppets into the fold. Non aggression is so helpful

Because of the truly AWFUL supply system in the game and the HUGE tax on fuel, actually using Cav is probably the best way to win the game. Tanks and Motorised are great for breakthrough BUT when they run out of fuel after a single days game play they then lose all their movement and breakthrough and as 3/4 of the map is either wood/jungle/mountains we are again back to using Cav as the better option. Cav&Cas go hand in hand very well 😄
