The dude occasionally pilots his AC like it’s a Buick with three wheels but he’s incredibly perceptive and curious when it comes to the narrative and themes, he engages with them very intentionally. Edit: Ooooooh it’s like he forgets assault boost exists at all. Just trundling around, slowly floating up and down in his giant chrome murder machine. 😭 The way he always quickboosts forward in the air like that’s going to do anything (especially on those boosters) just hurts my soul.

@@spiraljumper74 yeah not using ab in the helicopter mission was rough plus a coral gen. I feel like it being named assault boost should imply that its use is for combat situations but alas. I followed this playthrough for their genuine engagement on the plot end of things. I've said this before, but this game benefits so much from being a recorded playthrough and not a streamed one. this game demands attention and watching streamers amble through it like a zombie spurred on by the fromsoftware logo they saw in the game awards trailer makes me sad. I dont mind the piloting hiccups so long as they had fun which, it seems to me, they did indeed.

I like how there's one voice line in the final battle that shows that Iguazu being the final boss was not what Allmind intended - he knows you killed him and mentions there are others that are integrated that you killed too... Iguazu is the one rebelling and fighting you, overriding Allmind's control purely out of spite. The man was so petty that he was able to override the mastermind that was pulling the strings.

And that''s why Iguazu is in my top 3 favorite characters in AC6. The dude is truly motivated by nothing but hatred and spite, I can't help but respect it. No one would expect Iguazu of all people to be the final final boss.

He confessed at the end that he secretly respected 621 and that he was frustrated with himself for having such feelings again, and left somewhat satisfied. 621, who had been following Rusty's back, and the last battle with the man who had been following 621 in the shadows... I love this man.

Alea Iacta Est - "The die has been cast" This phrase is attributed to Julius Caesar as he led his army across the Rubicon river. When Rome sent out the generals the senate had chosen, it was custom for the army to disband before they would return to Italy. But Caesar defied this and instead gave rise to another idiom: "Crossing the Rubicon" - Passing the point of no return This was wonderfull to watch, I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did. Think about the RLF mantra a bit more and what it’s actually saying. Coral, *abide* with Rubicon. Coral, *endure* within us all. And then the third part which is new to Raven as of this mission, “For none of us shall cast the die.” The creed is an entreaty to the Coral to stay on Rubicon, to submit to the RLF conception of “symbiosis,” which seems to be using it in a conservation-minded fashion to provide food, fuel, and recreation for the human residents of Rubicon. In that respect, Dolmayan saying that the Coral must not be set free is consistent with the creed, because he thinks that “only tragedy awaits beyond the threshold.”

Man I'm going to miss this one. AC6 is a phenomenal game. Hoping the next one is out within the next couple years, I need my fix. Also yeah the Kate Markson "Definitely not Allmind look at this huge real mustache on my face under these totally necessary glasses" thing is extremely funny, especially in the second Kate mission where Allmind is effectively chiding you directly through messages from "Kate" every time you let something through. It contributed heavily to a series of drawings of Allmind as a petulant child on the AC reddit.

Every time Iguazu got a headache when fighting you is because Ayre was trying to contact him, since he was also a gen 4 augmentation recipient. Imagine if Ayre was able to contact Iguazu, I feel like he might have gone from biggest hater of 621 to at least buddies or friends.

Haha, yep. We all knew who Kate was going through it our first times. Definitely. She couldn't slip past me. Nope. I really like how wrong this route starts feeling the more you go down it, regardless of the actual effects and consequences of Coral Release. It's an almost 'genocide route' feeling going down a list of objectives (and people) for a controlling AI before meeting the familiar fate of no longer being of use to them alive at the end. Iguazu might be the king of going so far down the list of cool people after all his verbal tantrums until he experiences a glitched overflow and ends up at the top. That guy has the determination of a protagonist, just without the skills to achieve it.

I'm surprised more people don't connect AllMind's super high pitched "ear splitting" sounds and Ayre's connections with Iguazu's constant "that sound, get out of my head" lines earlier. It was a really cool foreshadowing detail, especially since it pops up even in earlier playthroughs. Great to see another complete playthrough of this game. Too many playthroughs finish after the first ending and don't get to see a lot of the way it builds upon itself iteratively.

I already have tinnitus though, so I'm used to just naturally filtering it out. His ranting makes way more sense now that I've caught it.

I must say, you are defnitely on of my favourite "playtrough" youtubers. A lot of other Creators dont take the time to learn and understand the game like you do. That makes your playtroughs really fun to watch, since its really exciting await your reaction to certain moments. Loved the playtrough, loved the game (I have the platinum Trophy on PS5 - i did everythng you can do) and loved the videos. I hope this game showed Players and Game shareholders that companies like Fromsoft should be allowed to do what they want, since i don't think we would have gotten this game if Fromsoft was more shareholder controlled. Armored Core is such an underrated series. People REALLY weren't sure about it when announced, not counting us old players. The OLD armored cores are really difficult in different ways, and if you ever decide to play them they have a gimmick of making you hit a wall and restart from the beginning that isn't clear when you start. I'll leave you to explore it but just know if you ever go back they are a different beast. SIDENOTE: Zone of The Enders is another mech game you would really like. PS2 but you should try it.

Some of us old players were also unsure. While AC4 and ACfA were a cool change we all could enjoy, it was clear that something was wrong with the direction From Software was going with this. In fact it was clear as early as Nexus, but they got by well enough. Even For Answer was clearly an unfinished game, and you need as little as the kojima facility to prove this. AC5 and ACVD did so much wrong that it killed any good will people had left in it. So much that game jornos made up lies about how the game is and everyone believed it. Meanwhile those of us who know how things are were upset. What was done so wrong? The bad practices finally caught up to From Software and killed the fanchise like it almost did Dark Souls. Where Dark Souls 2 was salvaged, Armored Core was left to crash and burn on the false over reaching promises of a lost and confused dev team. 11 years after the Great Destruction. One can't help but be cautious of how things will play out in this new yet familar direction. And honestly. Armored Core 6 is like a do-over doing everything of the past right and good. And it shot for the stars and actually made it to the top this time. But the future remains uncertain.

I love how the final fight is actually pretty unnecessary from ALLMIND's perspective; She has previously demonstrated that she can just commandeer your COM/Coral control unit to put you to sleep. It's purely the influence of Iguazu that instead demands this showdown. His pure pettiness completely derails ALLMIND's plan.

What's hilarious is Iguazu STILL gets shit on, even as the final boss of the game. He was picked by allmind because all the other compatible candidates became "impediments" to coral release after they found out what Allmind was up to and YOU subsequently killed them. Iguazu is eternally picked last. He does get the last laugh against Allmind, though. She assumed he would be assimilated like the rest, and instead he shows her the indomitable human spirit and takes control of his own destiny (even if he DOES lose in the end anyway).

I disagree, I if you think about it, it looks like Iguazu is the best candidate for coral release project because he was able to hear the voices without any help, unlike 621 who needed to be right in a coral explosion that basically overdose him... If you think about it that way, it makes his character even sadder because, in a sense, he had a lot more than you, yet he was bitter and insecure so he lost it all...

@diegoorozco8659 Literally all of the AC pilots have been exposed to coral, that's what the augmentation surgery is. It's likely they fine-tuned the dosage with each gen. That's why earlier gens like Iguazu can see coral entities while Snail (Who is constantly upgrading his augmentation to the newest gen) can't.

Congratulations on finishing the final ending! I absolutely love Iguazu's story through NG++ and his eventual overpowering Allmind and admitting his envy. Knowing his story now and replaying the missions with him absolutely hits different (count how often he asks some variation of "what makes you different?"). So for every Numbered generation of Armored core, they tend to be completely separated story and setting wise. The first three had loose connections, but there was only small lore threads connecting them. However they also have a history of releasing a sub-titled sequel game. Such as Armored Core 3: Silent Line, being a direct sequel to AC3. Here's hoping we do get a followup to this game, because the mechanics and story are great. If not we'll have to wait for the next gen, which is sure to be a hell of a ride. This game really is something special. It's been a long wait for the return of Armored Core, and damn did it come back in style.

the voice in Iguazu is Ayre. you hear her clearly but he can't it hurts his ears. why because C4 are augmented with coral so a side effect unkown to others is that they also hear coral mutations like ayre

Iguazu is byfar my favorite character in the whole game, not because he's anything special; but because he's just a normal dude surrounded by incredible pilots. His jealousy and insecurity are so pervasive, that it ends up being the reason as to why he overrides allmind; because it can't comprehend that aspect of humanity.

I liked this game a lot when it came out and I did my first playthrough. Then I returned to it about a year later and did the other two playthroughs and now I REALLY adore it. What a great episode! This final boss is my second favorite Fromsoft boss, after Sekiro's, mostly because of who you fight but the fight itself is so cool too. Not as emotionally charged as the other ones but man did it leave me speechless. Iguazu really is my favorite hater. The scrap AC wasn't in the prison because it just wasn't there at that point, I'm guessing it was delivered during the time you spent in prison, probably part by part. They wouldn't put you in a prison with a functional AC. You were in the prison for a very long time so Walter (or whoever he told to do so) definitely had time to ship the AC to you.

The best ending of AC6. There is no reason for the corporations to invade Rubicon anymore. Rusty is still alive and you got what he wanted. All ties to your business there on Rubicon are gone. Nobody will hunt you down, hold anything against you or even peg you just because of your and Raven's actions there on Rubicon. ALLMIND took care of everything. Yeah it sucks so many had to die. Don't feel too bad about Walter, Carla and Chatty. They were always going die for the mission. And you've done what they've wanted anyways. Rubicon and the system will never again live under the threat of another Fires of Ibis. And the Coral will live on in whatever machine or computer they want, free to co-exist alongside humanity. The Coral is free. Rubicon is free. You are free.

This game might not have sold as much as Elden Ring, but it certainly sold enough to get an AC7. I love this game, and can't wait to see what Fromsoft has next. I like that you mentioned all 3 playthroughs make up a larger story, Iteration seems to be the main theme here: Allmind is iterating on the best AC tech through the arena. Humanity is iterating on it's own evolution with the generations of augmentation and finally coral release. and you the player are iterating on the best possible outcome to the story.

nice you finished! i love how the 2nd playthrough started changing things up slightly and then the 3rd time decides to take the gloves off, as well as all the little hints and foreshadows Fromsoft had spread here and there during the campaign 1 thing i'm kinda curious about and no offence meant but why did you almost never use your assault boost? you had a couple of moments where you struggled to get somewhere in time and you never used it, was there a particular reason for it or did you just forget it existed XD

Tbh although Iguazu is the "failure" he kind of not. Wothout a human conscience allmind can't beat you in an AC fight and probably can't take your place and use ayre to release coral. Maybe that's why iguazu says "there's a lot more of us" maybe allmind to become eligible to be considered human to start the release she collected many human consciousnesses and used iguazu to fight you as he was the best fighter.

Kate Markson is also a "Mythology gag" to the other AIs in the franchise as all of them had to impersonate as a 100% a biological person at one point in the respective stories H-1 with Hustler One/Lana Neilsen (AC1-AC:AA) IBIS with Sera Cross (Silent Line) Chief is well... Chief (ACV) Foundation Man... well likewise (ACVD) Allmind with Kate Markson (AC6)

At least from 4 onward there was a expansion like second game, that shares the engine and usually lore, 4 had for answer, 5 had Verdict Day, which after the fact everyone only remembers the second game, no idea if 6 will follow but I really do look forward to it.

It's been like that for every Armored Core since the first, every generation has had stand-alone expansions (which often turned out better than the main games) so I bet we'll get at least one for AC6 as well. I hope they'll bring back transferring save data.

What I like about AC6's story is that its kinda short. Which would usually be a let down, but its purpose designed for multiple playthroughs with unique missions and branching choices that dont appear in your first playthrough. So that shorter length never overstays its welcome. Though I will say, by the end of the 3rd playthrough I had my fill of the story. So for me it was the perfect length I guess.
